We had the good fortune of connecting with Myron Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Myron, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always had a strong passion for tech, but I wanted to create an innovative solution that would allow individuals to get their cars detailed or washed with the push of a button. Think of it as a service like Instacart, but for car washing!

In recent years, the car wash industry has seen an increase in physical locations, which signifies a growing need. However, with Link Car Care, we aim to help fill this void.

On the other hand, I also want to create a revenue stream for current and future detailers. As a current detailer myself, I understand the challenges we face. I thought about how nice it would be for a platform to provide car washes, where all I have to do is select the job.

That was my ‘ah-ha’ moment, hence the name ‘Link’. Essentially, I am linking customers to a world of detailers, which will provide convenient and excellent service.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The biggest difference between Link Car Care and other detailers is that we are simply creating a marketplace mobile app, similar to Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, and so on, which allows all detailers to join the platform. This platform will connect them to customers requesting services such as car washes and details, ultimately enhancing the customer experience and making scheduling seamless and cashless. I am most proud of our platform because we focus on partnering with detailers, which will provide income while simultaneously saving time.

Business has always been part of my DNA. I will never forget being 10 years old when I told my father I wanted a bike from Walmart. The bike was around $80, and he asked if I had my half to cover the bike. Like any other child, no, I did not. So from that day on, I wanted to figure out how to come up with my half. My first business was lawn care. I started by going door to door around the neighborhood, and eventually, I was in business. In one week, I was able to get my bike, and ever since then, I have always loved entrepreneurship.

Starting a business is never easy because you are constantly solving problems. For me, I understand that this is the task at hand, and it is extremely important to have a great team around you. A great team can make or break a business.

Along the way, I have learned to have patience and not to stress. As I mentioned, you are constantly solving problems, so it is important to relax and have a clear mind to ensure you are making the best decisions for the business.

When people think of Link Car Care, I want them to think of innovation. We are not just a ‘mobile detailer’; in fact, we are a technology company that leverages the car wash industry to improve the overall efficiency and customer experience

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would show them around the BeltLine. From there, we could have so many options, such as visiting Ponce City Market, going to Bar Vegan, riding scooters around Piedmont Park, and finishing it off with some Jeni’s Ice Cream.

Atlanta has such a cool vibe; whatever you’re into, you can find it in this magical city! One of the most interesting places is Stone Mountain. If you ever get a chance, I recommend everyone should hike to the top! Once at the top, you can view the entire city and then you are able to understand how amazing Atlanta is and view it from a bird’s eye view.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
When I sit back and think of the encouragement, I want to give a shoutout to Shelia, aka my mom. When I reflect on my childhood, I remember how hard my mom worked and the long hours she put in day and night. I use that as my fuel during my tired moments, knowing I have to keep pushing to make my dream a reality.

My mom is the driving force that motivates and encourages me to keep striving, and without her, I would not be in the place that I am in.
