Meet Myron Feltner | Film Composer & Music Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Myron Feltner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Myron, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
The most difficult decision I’ve ever made was leaving South Florida to move to Atlanta. Aside from a year in Daytona Beach, my entire life had been rooted in the Fort Lauderdale-Miami area. Choosing to leave my family, friends, and everything familiar was incredibly risky and challenging. But I made the leap with the hope of building a name for myself in a new city—a city with a thriving entertainment scene, a booming film industry, and a rich cultural legacy as the Black Mecca.
Looking back, it’s clear it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I not only found opportunities to grow my career but also found community—something I believe is essential for both personal growth and professional success. This move taught me the transformative value of stepping out of my comfort zone to embrace change and possibility.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’d describe myself as a creative collaborator and a storyteller through music—someone who thrives at the intersection of art and vision, working behind the scenes to amplify and shape the narratives that artists and filmmakers want to share. While I’m not an artist in the traditional sense (though I did recently release a holiday project titled A Framily Christmas) or a filmmaker, my work as a composer, producer, and storyteller bridges the gap between their ideas and the emotions they want to evoke in their audience. My passion lies in using music to elevate their stories, whether by crafting a dynamic score for a film or designing soundscapes and musical textures that enhance a project’s emotional depth. Collaboration fuels my creativity, and I find immense fulfillment in helping others bring their creative visions to life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a foodie at heart, so the first stop would probably be one of my favorite brunch spots, The Vickery—chill vibes and great food. For a real serious meal later on, we’d head to Fox Bros Bar-B-Q, where the brisket is unbeatable. To mix things up, we’d catch a movie at the iconic Plaza Theatre or laugh the night away at Dad’s Garage. Afterward, we’d wind down with some late-night drinks and grub at The Vortex in Little Five Points—it’s a must-see spot with some of the best burgers around and it’s also next door to one of my favorite shops there, Wax ‘N’ Facts record store.
For the rest of the week, I’d make sure we explore some of Atlanta’s iconic landmarks, like the BeltLine for a scenic walk, the High Museum of Art and the King Center for a dose of culture, and Ponce City Market for shopping and rooftop fun. If we’re in the mood for live music, we’d hit up Eddie’s Attic or a concert at the State Farm Arena. And of course, we’d carve out time to hang at Piedmont Park.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a huge shoutout to the Atlanta film community. Connecting with individuals in this vibrant and supportive network, as well as being involved with the Atlanta Film Festival, has been instrumental in shaping my journey as a film composer. These connections inspired me to fully commit to this path, even motivating me to pursue my master’s degree in film scoring.
Though I’ve only recently made the leap into music for film, the encouragement and opportunities I’ve found in this community have made the transition smoother and faster than I ever imagined. I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with incredibly talented directors like Derrick Mullens, Itzel Fernandez, Lisa Cerda Fernandez, and Chris Cerda, and I’m truly grateful for their trust and belief in my work. This community has been a cornerstone of my growth, and I owe so much of my progress to the relationships I’ve built here.
