We had the good fortune of connecting with Myriam Morisset and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Myriam, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
The one thing about our Industry that outsiders are probably unaware of, is that you can create sustainable food with a dehydrator. With changing times one must future think and reinvent how we used to do things in the past and bring that way of thinking back forward. With a Dehydrator you can practically prepare anything from dried fruits, jerky, cookies basically a multitude of things. The Dehydration process allows for foods that after it has been prepared in it , then the food becomes something that is alive with enzymes and nutrients that are great for the digestive system. We at Raw Head Bread have taken the time to create Dehydrated Bagels, Flax Crackers, Buckwheat Bars, Flatbreads, Carrot Cake waffles and more. Using this method of food preparation has allowed us to share with the community that there is an alternative to food preparation. We help minimize the harshness on how food is created, for we want you all to receive all the nutritional benefits needed to keep ones body balanced.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Raw Head Bread was born May 2017 with the concept of creating Healthy Snacks that are Raw, Vegan, Gluten Free; Dairyfree, Wheatfree, Soy Free and Grain Free. We only use Organic Ingredients and we also use local fruits and vegetables from our Local Farmers to prepare our snacks. We are most proud of how our products are embraced by the community and it shows when they tag us instagram @rawheadbread with their creative photos. As we climb the uphill battle taking some falls every once and awhile we have Thanked God and those that have thought us valuable lessons. We have learned how aligning ourselves with like minded people that Rise each other up we will all Rise up. It is not about being better than the next one but how can we be our best when we work together. So we take the time to plan things out every day, making sure we are allows prepared, not taking things for granted and making sure we stay consistent. We allow obstacles to be our opportunities.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is a tough response because it would depend on the friend you are hanging with. So to keep it neutral We would love people to visit their Local Farmers Market, or jump around to Farmers Market that are in Georgia. People will be pleasantly surprised as to what they find there. Fresh Fruits; Vegetables, Flowers; Cheese, Breads, Fermented and Holistic food items, Jewelry and more. Something prepared by your hand with ingredients bought from the Farmers Market goes speaks volumes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to Thank Chef Akil Amen Raw for pushing me to make Raw Healthy Snacks after so many years of being out of the game. In 2005 We had a restaurant called Turn Over Time where we made puff pastry filled with fruits, vegetables and meats.; we were ahead of our time for we were also making Raw and Vegan meals. Like all things that happen in life , economy; new challenges in the world people not spending money than what happens you have to close your doors. So 12 years past and Raw Head Bread was born May 2017 and we have been going since. We want to thank God, Family the People our Supporters, close Friends the Community who appreciate what we do Community Farmers Market; Piedmont Green Farmers Market, Effect Fitness; Amber Hunter The Good Day Box, Freedom Farmers Market, Morningside Farmers Market; Castleberry Farmers Market, Municipal Farmers Market, Atlanta Food Truck Park and Market , Jonathan Tescher & James Harris CREATE Cohort at Clark Atlanta University , Conne Ward-Cameron at the AJC, Lauren Carey Soghurn & Rye Operations , Keitra Bates Marddys Kitchen, Ana Maria Paramo Graphic Designer, Department of Agriculture, Jen Cater Graphic Designer, Liz Brennan Fortify Consulting, S&J WoodFired Pizza ; Jade Muse Artist Entrepreneur ; Zo Healthy Blogger Everyone we named has played a role to where we are now.
