Meet Myoshia Williams | Legal Professional, Founder of the Janice Angels Foundation, and Advocate for young woman and children`

We had the good fortune of connecting with Myoshia Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Myoshia, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, and being raised in transitional housing have profoundly influenced my character. Despite facing challenges, these experiences have instilled in me resilience and determination. Navigating the complexities of life in the city has fostered empathy and a deep understanding of others’ struggles. These challenges have also fueled a relentless drive for success, transforming obstacles into opportunities for growth. Overall, my upbringing has shaped me into a resilient, compassionate, and determined individual, emphasizing the positive aspects that have emerged from those experiences.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Founding the Janice Angels Foundation while navigating the complexities of a personal injury law firm has been a challenging yet rewarding journey. The foundation, dedicated to supporting women and young children, is born from a commitment to make a positive impact in our community.
Balancing the demands of these roles has taught me that perseverance can turn challenges into opportunities. From handling legal intricacies to establishing initiatives for empowerment, each obstacle has contributed to the foundation’s growth.
The Janice Angels Foundation isn’t just about meeting immediate needs; it’s about empowering individuals for a better life. Through community support and partnerships, we’ve made tangible strides.
My story reflects the belief that passion and dedication can bridge seemingly different worlds. The Janice Angels Foundation stands as proof that collective efforts can create lasting change, offering support and hope to those who need it most.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’ll kick off our day exploring the historic vibes of the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, soaking in the inspiring history.
As the sun sets, we’ll head to Ponce City Market’s rooftop for a breathtaking skyline view and grab dinner at one of the fantastic restaurants. Then, cap off the night with live music in the eclectic neighborhood of Little Five Points.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom, who is the beacon of strength, an epitome of love, and a testament to the power of a mother’s unwavering determination. She is my rock, my support, and the driving force behind the success I’ve achieved.
In the grand tapestry of life, she’s been the unwavering thread that held everything together.
As a single mom, she epitomizes resilience and strength. Her relentless commitment to providing for our family, working tirelessly day in and day out, has been nothing short of inspiring. Juggling multiple roles and responsibilities, she never let the challenges of being a single parent dim her radiant spirit.
She is my hero, my guide, and the embodiment of grace under pressure. Her dedication to ensuring we had the best, even in the face of adversity, has shaped the person I am today.
