Meet Myles Aubrii | Singer / performer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Myles Aubrii and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Myles, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The biggest factor behind my success is representation, I feel that as a black trans woman I have a different set of eyes on me and I make it a point to represent myself in the best light possible. I genuinely feel like if I win , all trans women do . It’s way overdue for us to be recognized for our talents & gifts and the world needs to know that we’re just human regardless of our gender identity.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been singing my whole life, and I started to write music at the age of 10. i’ve been in multiple groups and one of the things I’ve noticed through those experiences is that I was in a group to hide and I feel in some way I was afraid of success . I feel like in my journey my biggest obstacle is myself and confidence. So with my upcoming album called “iTgirl” I will challenged myself to be the person. I’ve always wanted to be. I tried to embrace every aspect of myself with this music. from the writing ,to the production ,to the visuals ,to the photo shoots down to my nail color, I was involved in every aspect of creating this project & I want people to feel as and as free as I did while creating it.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I really haven’t traveled much, but if I were to go anywhere with my best friend, it would probably be Vegas and we would literally paint the town red. We would gamble , drink , eat we would just have a blast and no matter what we do I know anytime I link with my friend we don’t have to plan anything out because we kind of just figure out things as we go.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mother has been my biggest supporter and she always is there to lift me up and I’m so grateful for that .
