We had the good fortune of connecting with Myesha Banks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Myesha, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk from my perspective takes a bit of a fearless attitude. I believe taking risk involves mind control and a strong belief system. Taking risk you don’t know how it’s going to play out , where you’re getting money from , who will support you , and if it’s going to work. Coming from New York , being a NYPD officers I decided to take a risk and resign from a 6 figure career , move to atlanta and pursue my dreams. Moving to atlanta, Georgia was the scariest move for me. I came here Dec.14.2022 without a financial plan or business plan. I knew in my heart this is what I wanted for myself. A place to grow in my black excellence. I’m at the beginning of my journey here in Atlanta , but I took a leap of faith and a huge risk to give myself a chance. A chance to be heard and a chance to become the greatest speaker I can possibly become.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am the CEO of TTBE “Time to be Established” motivational speaking organization. I started with just a thought of the name and along the journey the organization developed into a speaking. I worked on my craft day and night to enhance my voice, image , and projection. I connected with people to enhance my quality of work which had help me gain more credibility. This journey was not easy at all and still I struggle with credibility and bookings. I do believe my time will come where I will receive more then I ask for, I learned to not compare my success to others and move with grace and a smooth pace. I want the world to know that each and every steps sometimes feel like you’re not getting anywhere. As long as you’ are moving and working towards your dream you are getting somewhere.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m new to Atlanta so I haven’t been to many places yet. But I would love to try a few place that I search or would love to check out. Sober social, chapter room , Barrel room and a few amazing restaurants I have on my list.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout entertainer FATMAN SCOOP for mentoring me and continuously supporting my business. I also want to shoutout blogger NICOLE x for re- posting my first motivational video , exposing my brand to millions.
