Meet Msutfumswati Nkambule | Entrepreneur & Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Msutfumswati Nkambule and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Msutfumswati, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Understanding my surroundings and environment was the starting point of my thought process when considering starting my own business. In my home country, Eswatini, unemployment is alarmingly high, with many professionals and skilled individuals unable to secure jobs due to limited opportunities. When I returned to Eswatini from Taiwan after completing my studies, I immediately realized that unless I took the initiative to create opportunities, I too would become part of this statistic.
This realization prompted me to ask critical questions: What do people need? What product or service could I offer that would not only address a societal necessity but also support my livelihood, create financial wealth, and provide for both my current family and the one I hope to build in the future? After careful consideration and analysis, the answer became clear—agriculture. Specifically, beef production stood out as a vital industry that could fulfill these goals.
With this vision, I founded **Besutfu Beef Production**, a business rooted in my family name, Msutfu. The venture is dedicated to providing quality beef to the local market while contributing to the economic growth of my community. Through this business, I aim not only to create sustainable employment opportunities but also to play a role in addressing the pressing issue of unemployment in Eswatini.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I selected “other” because my professional journey is broad and multifaceted. I am an entrepreneur, running two businesses: a beef production company and a gourmet burger company. These businesses complement each other, but my professional skill set lies primarily in marketing, particularly digital marketing—a field I studied at university and initially planned to pursue as a career. However, due to the limited job opportunities in my country, Eswatini, I pivoted toward entrepreneurship.
My journey toward entrepreneurship didn’t begin after returning home; in hindsight, it started in 2020 during my sophomore year of university. I interned at a credit repair company as a sales agent and later as a quality assurance agent for nine months. At just 20 years old, with no prior work experience, I immersed myself in the role, learning invaluable lessons and proving to myself that with determination, I could excel in any field—even one I wasn’t formally trained in.
Following that, I explored various roles. I became a part-time English teacher, then worked as a waiter at a five-star hotel, which taught me about customer service at the highest level. I later became a content creator for a drummer, traveling across Taiwan and discovering a passion for storytelling through digital media.
Through each role, I made a conscious effort to give my all, whether I loved the job or not. Every experience shaped me, taught me new skills, and allowed me to evolve. This mindset—to work hard, leave a lasting mark, and continuously push boundaries—has become the foundation of my story and my brand. My goal is to show the world that no matter the job, the industry, or the position, I will always give 110% and strive to make an impact.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
That is a fascinating question. Eswatini is a country rich in tradition, culture, and breathtaking nature. If I had the opportunity to host a guest, I would plan an unforgettable experience that highlights the very best of what my country has to offer.
The winter season, which begins in May, would be the ideal time to visit. To start the adventure, I would take my guest to the big natural game parks scattered across the country. These parks are home to incredible wildlife, including lions, giraffes, elephants, and hippos. The experience of driving through the safari in the early morning and seeing these majestic animals roam freely in their natural habitat—not confined to cages—is truly unparalleled. This activity would span from Sunday to Tuesday, complemented by a lovely camping experience in between to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature.
After the safari, we would head to the heart of Eswatini—Ezulwini. Here, my guest would learn about the rich history and culture of our nation by visiting the National Museum and the Mantenga Cultural Village. This visit would provide insight into Eswatini as the world’s only remaining absolute monarchy while offering a taste of traditional cuisine, which is a special part of our heritage. Spending two nights in Ezulwini would be essential to soak up all the information and enjoy the excellent hospitality.
Next, we would dive into the local food and drinks. My guest would experience our staple porridge, known as pap, indulge in our unique version of BBQ called *shisanyama,* and savor the vibrant nightlife. If the timing aligns, attending the iconic *Bushfire Festival*—one of Africa’s top five festivals—would be a must. This combination of culture, tradition, cuisine, and entertainment would leave my guest with memories they will cherish forever and a longing to return to Eswatini.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family of the rip deserves a major shoutout from my father who made sure to always take care of me mentally and financially he paid for my entire education from 1st grade to university and also just taught me how to become a man and take on responsibilities, my mother for showing me love and instilling faith into my life and just being my backbone and comforter, my siblings for being a pillar of strength in low moments and being the best team player in this walk of life. To my cousins and friends Mlu who is my business partner, and Esco whose a talented musician who believed in my content marketing strategies from when I was still in high school. To Ming Chuan University a Taiwan University that welcomed me with open arms and made my stay in Asia amazing. There are many more im missing out but just to answer the question as precise as possible these are some of the people who played a major role to who I am today and it will never be forgotten they deserve a lot of credit.
