We had the good fortune of connecting with Moshiah (aka Mo) Stringer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Moshiah (aka Mo), we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to help people with their health and self confidence. I myself struggle with being confident so I wanted to help people who struggle with it. Your physical image can have an effect on your level of confidence.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 10 years. Prior to that , I was a ballet dancer for several companies including New York State Ballet. As a classical dancer you learn a lot about form and function as well as injury prevention. With my dance background, I’ve been able to apply a lot of what I learned into my personal training. I’ve worked with slot of clients that had major medical issues but were able to move past them. Paying attention to your clients needs as an individual is key to your success as a personal trainer..
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite spots here in Atlanta are the Beltline with all the shops, restaurants and breweries you can enjoy as you spend an afternoon taking a stroll. Next, The Atlanta Botanical Garden is always a great place to relax and enjoy the floral beauty. And finally, I love the preforming arts so I always look up performance schedules at multiple Theaters here’s… from the Fox Theater to Cobb Performing Arts Center and the ASO to concerts at the Depot. There’s always fun to be had.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’ve always had support in my endeavors from my friends in the LGBT community here in Atlanta. But a lot has been my own willpower. Wanting to help others and also prove to myself that I am capable of doing anything I set my mind to has been my fuel to push harder and succeed.
