Meet Moses And Brentley Pittman | Accent Wall Expert and Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Moses And Brentley Pittman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Moses and Brentley, every day, we know how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for MoDora Accent Walls really came to life during the 2020 pandemic. Like many people, I was spending more time at home and wanted to create a space that felt inspiring and alive. I’ve always had a strong eye for design and attention to detail, so transforming dull spaces into something vibrant and personalized quickly became a passion. I started with a DIY accent wall in our guest room-just experimenting, really- and I found myself completely drawn to the transformation. When my now-husband, who has an engineering background, moved in, we started collaborating on more walls-from the nursery to the office, and the foyer. His technical skills combined with my design instincts made us a great team. About four months after I gave birth, we decided to turn our shared creativity into a business by officially launching MoDora Accent Walls. Since then, we’ve been helping others bring life and personality into their own spaces, one wall at a time. The name ‘MoDora’ actually combines both of us- his name is Moses, and my middle name is Sidora.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Throughout our careers one of the things we’re most proud of is our keen attention to detail. In both public health and design, precision is everything. From identifying deficiencies that could impact public safety to crafting accent walls that transform a space, we approach our work with care, thoughtfulness, and excellence.
With a background in science (Biology), I entered public health early in my career and have grown into a senior-level role by continuously learning and teaching others. My husband, with a background in engineering, brings strategic thinking, logical problem-solving, and strong critical thinking skills to the table. Together, we balance creativity with structure, blending our strengths to build something meaningful.
It hasn’t always been easy-juggling demanding careers while launching a business took resilience and commitment. I’ve traveled extensively for work, and through that, I’ve had the opportunity to admire the aesthetics and architectural details of high-end hotels and businesses across the country. That exposure helped shape our appreciation for style and design, ultimately influencing the vision behind MoDora Accent Walls.
In both of our professions, the details matter- the angles, measurements, materials, finishes, and durability all play a role in the final outcome. That’s why we’re the right team for the job. We want the world to know that our story is about precision, purpose and passion-and that MoDora represents the perfect intersection of our backgrounds, values and vision.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting Atlanta for a week, I’d make sure she experienced the city the way locals love it-through amazing food, vibrant culture, intentional rest, and unforgettable energy.
Monday would be all about a warm welcome. We’d start with lunch at RREAL Tacos-fresh, flavorful and of course, a welcome margarita to kick off the week right. Afterward, we’d do some browsing in Atlantic Station. That evening, we’d enjoy dinner at Rumi’s Kitchen.
Tuesday, we’d head to The Works for casual bites, then spend the afternoon exploring the High Museum of Art. That night, we’d catch an Atlanta professional sports game.
Wednesday would be our wellness and wine day. We’d start with a pilates class at Sculpthouse in Buckhead, then take a trip to Château Élan for wine tasting and a nice massage. Back in the city, we’d enjoy dinner at the elegant and serene Le Colonial.
Thursday is for shopping. We’d hit the North Georgia Premium Outlets in the morning, then cruise through the Avalon and Shops at Buckhead for a blend of designer and local finds. That evening, we’d have dinner and catch the sunset over drinks at 9 Mile Station on Ponce City rooftop.
Friday would be for fun and spontaneity. We’d have a breakfast at First Watch or Cafe Intermezzo and then relax poolside (if weather permits) with drinks and small bites. That evening we would head over to Rock Steady for dinner and vibes. We would head upstairs to the dance floor for music and drinks for the evening.
Saturdays starts with exercise- Hills4ATL mile crusher, a high energy fitness experience that’s as rewarding as it is tough. We’d recover at Stretch Lab for a much needed dynamic stretching. Later in the afternoon we would attend an outdoor festival or live music. Then in the evening have dinner at Southern Gentleman and toast the night with cocktails at the gorgeous Garden Room.
Finally on Sunday we would attend church-a moment to pause, reflect, and be grateful. Afterward we would have brunch at Saints and Council and then head to Sunday Funday at Westside Motor Lounge-games, music, food trucks, and a relaxed vibe to end the week on a high note.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to give a shoutout to my Aunt Veronica. She has such a natural eye for detail and interior design, and honestly, she’s a big part of what sparked my passion for this work. We both bought homes in 2019, and I remember being in awe of the way she transformed her space- every room had a purpose, a vibe, and personal touch. I found myself constantly reaching out to her for advice and inspirational I worked on designing my own home. Her creativity, combined with the ideas I gathered from Pinterest, really helped shape the foundation of what eventually became MoDora Accent Walls.
