Hi Monique, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My reason for my business was to sell more products!!!.I knew once I got Men to try my Beard Essentials they would love and need them. My idea was to sell. sell sell.Once i realized that men were not only not taking care of their beards, they were down right neglecting their self care routines. So my thoughts shifted from selling the products to selling them a experience that they could physically and mentally gain from.A place were they could come and leave their worries at the door so they could see themselves in a more clear light.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are the only Day Spa in our city dedicated to Men’s Self Care and wellness. We had to overcome a slow take off as we had to first, educate our community on the importance of Self care treatments. Getting them into our facility and allowing us to show them what a Facial/Body Treatment was and that it was ok to trust us with their skin was a challenge. Since starting my business I have learned to respect my lane. To go at my own pace , I know I can add services for females and profit three times as much in a fiscal year. That’s not my assignment. My passion is Men’s wellness. I can’t do what doesn’t make me happy. Not even for money.
I want the world to know that I won’t stop till our Kings Crowns are properly replaced on their Heads…..One service at a time, I want to see them smile at their reflections.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Hey now, Now if we in the #585 and looking for adventure First thing we must do is stop by BE HEALTHY Smoothie Bar to get the energy needed for the Funcation. Here we will fill up on power filled smoothies and of course, natural eats and alkaline water. Taco Tuesdays with TACO-DERO Is always the week kick off, Good eats and music from 3-10pm. Its always full of friends.Then we headed straight to Fat Tuesdays with SHEEK ENT. We in the bar playing everything from spades to play station , while eating …Can’t get no better than that. Its always a must that we stop at The Mobile Spa and see Rayna Brooks , we getting yoni steams and waxes while sipping on wine. Coming out feeling rich and bouji. So now we might as well go to see Trina at Select Styles and shop cause the weekend is about to get crazy. We getting fancy and headed to Morgan’s Cereal Bar to eat. We going to The private Member lounges where we do Trap karaoke and loose our minds.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would say there is 2 heavy shout outs that catapulted my success in this industry. My city! Rochester,Ny has been super supportive of my dreams and patronizing me to keep my doors open. I can begin to thank my clients for spreading the word about us enough.I also have a wonderful mentor ,Candice Holyfield aka Six Figure Spa Chick, Her training, teachings and guidance has changed the way I think about business and how i use different avenues for my talent and knowledge.The Spa Boss Tribe has introduced me to some powerful and motivated women who I have grown and learned from. I am appreciative for support and engorgement.
