We had the good fortune of connecting with Monica Devlin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Monica, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lesson that my business has taught me, is that you have to be consistent in order to see growth. When I first started my business I was not consistent in my marketing and business strategy. It was not until I started being consistent with my marketing strategies, that I saw growth and was even able to see the potential of my business in the future.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am most proud and excited about the role that God plays in my business and about what he has store for business in the future. In the last year I have learned so much about faith and business. I feel like my faith is one of the most essential parts of my business. I have also learned that it is okay to let your faith show up in all that you do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh wow! If my best friend was visiting me from out of town, we definitely go out for a night on the town and dress up. Probably dinner at a restaurant in downtown Atlanta. Then to a bar or lounge to listen to some good music and have some drinks. Some of my favorite spots in Atlanta are Ponce City Market, Atlantic Station and Midtown. I will tell you my favorite soul food restaurant in Atlanta is Busy Bee Cafe, my friend Anita introduced it to me a couple of years ago. The food is so good! I’m big on knowing a good soul food spot.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout goes to my two sons, Isaiah and Landen. They are the reason I go so hard everyday, this is definitely dedicated to them. They keep me grounded and they keep me always thinking ahead.
