Hi M’mah Mary, what do you want people to remember about you?
Legacy When most people speak of Legacy they often compare it to material value, and/or western traditions. When I think of my legacy, I want to be remembered for all the things monetary value could never buy. I want people to know that there is not one thing that I could not do. Everything that I do in the present time crafts the empire that I will leave behind. I am a very spiritual person, so I am constantly giving thanks to all of my ancestors that have left their legacy for me to continuously progress and uphold. I consider myself limitless, and the reason I do is because of those who came before me. I have the strength of thousands and thousands before me that give me the motivation to constantly move forward and grow. I come from a legacy of outspoken, black strong businessmen and women, and I want to be remembered as such. Not only do I want my legacy to be full of strength, and perseverance, but I also will leave behind business, vehicles, houses, stocks, and several other assets so that the legacy will live on forever.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Currently, I am Vice President at Purely CBD of Grayson located at 1142 Athens Highway Suite 110 Grayson, Georgia 30017. I absolutely love what I do. The Cannabis world is constantly changing and progressing and it is super exciting! Purely CBD of Grayson is a family environment where people can feel comfortable to sit and talk to us about any issues they may have going on in their bodies. Cannabis heals and it saves lives! There is a product for all different kinds of ailments such as anxiety, pain, inflammation, and stress. We even have products for children and pets. What makes us different is that our CBD is not just thrown together for profit. Purely CBD of Grayson makes products that actually work! Every single one of our products has been third-party lab tested by a group of scientists. All of the hemp flower that the CBD, Delta-8, CBG, etc is extracted from is organically grown in the United States. We are super excited about the future of Cannabis in the state of Georgia. Hopefully, marijuana will become legal in Georgia so that more people can benefit from this amazing plant! Being a Black Woman-owned business can present some challenges in the Cannabis world. For this reason, it is SUPER important that we are educated on the products that we sell as well has Cannabis in general. I have many people come into the store just for education, and that is great! The more people that are educated about Cannabis, the faster we can get the ball rolling with more legalizations. By far the biggest lesson that I have learned is patients. When people come into Purely CBD of Grayson 9 times out of 10 they are dealing with severe medical problems. It is important to make every person feel welcome no matter what race, religion,or sexual orientation. The world as a whole can all benefit from CBD in some way. Purely CBD of Grayson is the heartbeat of the community. Making people feel better both mentally, and physically is our biggest flex! We get patrons from all over the state of Georgia and some even from out of state. The brand is who we are as a person. Not only do you get great products, but education as well.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Most of my family and friends are outdoors people, so I would stop by the shop and grab my favorite two Pre-Rolls “Lifter” and “Sour Space Candy”. They are both Sativas meaning that they are uplifting and great for energy while removing any stress and anxiety throughout our day. After, that we could hop right next door to Quality Beauty Supply and grab any items we may need for the day. They have a great selection of lipgloss, makeup, and hair care products. Yes, we are wearing our masks, and being safe but we still have to look good! Next, we would grab lunch at Trend Urban Cafe in Stone Mountain or see what the ATL food trucks have to offer. After we have eaten, now we can grab some drinks! Depending on the day we may stop at Green Love Kitchen in Lithonia for some delicious, healthy juices, but if we are feeling “saucy” we may go to Cirque Daiquiri Bar in Atlanta where they serve amazing Daiquiris. Now, what is a trip without shopping?! I would take my friends to get some handmade polymer earrings called @eargump. They are so beautiful and would look great on all my earthy friends. After, we can just explore the city or may see what car events are going on and visit those. My boyfriend Ravi is a car enthusiast and can build, fix, or modify just about anything on a vehicle. For that reason, he always stays on top of the car scene and will be more than happy to show us around. This is just a typical week in my city. If we decided to do something different we may go hiking or to a park!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I only surround myself with like-minded people who uplift, and support me. Those who do will forever have my loyalty and trust. The first person I would like to shout out is my mother Yvonne Sylla. She is my sunshine and my heartbeat. She always encourages me to do my very best, and never makes me feel like there is something I can not do. At times I can be tough and business-minded, but she reminds me to relax and know that anything I want is already mine. She is definitely my balance and my best friend. My family as a whole deserves recognition because they are my biggest motivators! Anything that I need help with they give 100%. Another person I would like to share the love with is Marilyn Jones. She lets absolutely nothing stand in her way. Marilyn really does have the biggest heart and her loyalty is unmatched. She always pulls out the best in me and expects nothing less. Working with her has been such a fulfilling experience and I consider her family. I am extremely blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people! Also, I want to give thanks to those who have passed on in my family but have never left my heart. They are the ones that give me my strength.
