We had the good fortune of connecting with Miss Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Miss, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
In life, we already take risks everyday. Although I don’t feel like I am a huge risk taker, I do believe in doing what you have to do to make yourself happy or better. My biggest risk I have taken so far in life is starting my own business in the peak of the pandemic, back in June 2020. It wasn’t easy at all, but it was worth it.
What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart from others is it is really about the client. I won’t take a client I don’t believe in or see potential in. I think that is truly important because this business is a dirty game. I like when my clients and I can trust each other. It makes business easier, I am most proud of one of my client opened up for Trina, THE LEGEND, in Detroit back in October 2020. Business-wise, I got here through school and research. I went to school for public relations, I received my PR-Agency Ready Certification from the PR Council, and I learned watching business modules from Rare Sound Studios. All of this wasn’t easy. I have overcame a few obstacles including finances, disagreements, and just errors. I have learned many lessons including; Staying the course because nothing great comes easy, Persevering the obstacles, Trust my gut, and Its business not personal. I want the world the world to know I just try to connect people in all ways genuinely.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would plan for all of my friends to go to brunch at Fin and Feathers. Then we would go get pampered with massages, facials, and nails. I love a girls day, maybe kickback and watch a movie. Another day maybe take them to a fun networking event in the industry. I am not a girl who needs to have an itinerary during fun and relaxed times. I typically go with the flow and I would want to see what they want to do. But my girls, we could get a cabin and would just vibe all day. We don’t need much when it’s just the girls.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First, I would like to recognize myself for doing the work, period. Though, I wouldn’t have the strength if it wasn’t for my close friends and family including my mom, sister, and bestfriend for believing in me and encouraging me. I would like to thank my clients for giving me chance to elevate their career and trusting me because they didn’t have to: Maya Lanet, Nae B, Ona, Kay Bee, and PK Iman. I would like to thank Rare Sound including Ty Sanders, Trappin N London, and Lex of Consistency PR for giving me opportunities to elevate my own career as well as others. There are numerous of people I have built connections with along the way and they all have truly been a blessing.
