Meet Miranda Webster | Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Miranda Webster and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Miranda, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is impact. I’m not just in the business of selling skincare. My skincare brand promotes self-care as it pertains to mental health. My intention is to provide my products and resources, such as my blogs and eBooks, to allow people to utilize those as the reason they either get started or push though even stronger on their journeys of self-care and self-love all in efforts to create a mental space they love.
I know I have seen true success when I can say thousands and hopefully millions of lives have been impacted positively by Blossom Skinn. Overall, I chose the word blossom because it means “to flourish” as a verb, and that’s what I want to inspire my audience to do.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I like to consider myself a part-time entrepreneur because I am also still an employee, but the work I put in is definitely full-time. I did graduate with my Bachelors in 2020 and started a full-time job with a leadership position in my field shortly after. At the time, I was really proud of this but that soon turned into a very stressful and unfulfilling segment of my life. At that point, I had already started my business and could not make any progression due to my very demanding and what seemed like pointless job. I describe it as that because I had already begun to have thoughts that I wouldn’t be using my degree in the upcoming years, not to mention, the mental health compromise was not worth the hourly pay that didn’t even cover my living expenses.
So, I made a huge leap of faith, and transferred out of that position into a part-time position within the same company because I was ready to get serious about building my business. Funny enough, the part-time position paid more hourly. I was ready to prioritize my business and not waste any more time within my career. My new position would not only give me more time to focus on my business but also expose me to new skills and practices I could apply in the future to another business idea I have. It was not easy, I struggled but I also persevered because I saw what God was unfolding for me. I personally had a huge advantage in which was my father who was financially supporting me all the way though and even increased his support when I stepped down from my leadership position, He has been my backbone all my life honestly and I wouldn’t have even made it this far if it wasn’t for him believing in me and being able to support me.
Throughout my journey, I have learned that you cannot reach success without some sort of sacrifice, and you will not grow where you are comfortable. I know we’ve probably all heard the saying nothing that’s worth it will come easy, but it also won’t come on your timing, but rather on God’s.
I want the world to know that it doesn’t stop at Blossom Skinn. My next plan to impact will becoming a personal development & well-being life coach. I’ve been blessed to be able to identify my purpose which is to inspire others to develop their lifestyle so that they can live life as the best version of themselves; life is short, so why wouldn’t you?
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I will take a different approach other than what might be expected because I’m very into nature and just enjoying small things in this season of my life.
I live in Mobile, Alabama currently. In no particular order, I would make sure I take my friend to my favorite brunch spot Brick & Spoon and my favorite donut shop Sugar Rush. I love eating but my least favorite is American food so I would take my friend to one of my favorite Mediterranean spots, Ollies Mediterranean Grill and my favorite thai food takeout place Benjas.
I’m all about quality time and sharing moments so we’ll grab some bread and go feed the ducks at the Municipal Park. We’ll take a day trip over to Foley and check out the Tanger Outlets to do a little retail therapy, then stop in Fairhope to watch the sunset over the Mobile Bay at the pier. If it’s Friday, I’ll make sure to take my friend to the Los Floraditas speakeasy downtown that has one of my favorite live entertainers for good drinks and a Cuban menu.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I cannot talk about my journey without giving a huge shoutout to my mentor Chelsea Guarriello. Her and her Pennies to Gold program played a huge role in keeping my mindset in the right place when it comes to not ever giving up on my dreams. Her program connected me with hundreds of individuals who had similar mindsets to myself, this was huge for me because I would have never gotten that locally. So, huge thanks to Chelsea for opening so many doors in my life!
