We had the good fortune of connecting with MIRAJ and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi MIRAJ, how do you think about risk?
Of course taking risks can be very scary, but I feel like they are CRUCIAL in order to grow.

Taking risks & stepping outside my comfort zone has changed my life drastically in just a couple months.

So many doors have opended up for me. My first single “Slide Thru” released, I’ve met so many dope producers/enegineers, photographers, and I’ve even had labels & major artist reaching out to me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’’m an artist. I am a upcoming singer, songwriter, as well as a rapper. I use my musical gifts to tell stories, express myself, relate to others, & just to have fun.

I feel like my versatility is what sets me apart from so many people. Im not a one trick pony, you can’t box me in, & I have music that everyone will be able to vibe/relate to. I

I’m super excited for my new EP. I have been working extremely hard on this project. Every song is written 100% by me, so it takes a lil longer considering I don’t play when it comes to my music.

It has been a long time coming on this journey. I have fought so hard to get to this point, and my biggest battle was with myself. Overcoming anxiety & stage fright was the biggest obstacle but once I did that everything started to align perfectly. The biggest lesson I learned is to not be afraid to “go for it” whatever it is, go after what it is that you want & don’t let anybody tell you you can’t do something.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There is honestly so many fun things to do here & so many dope people I’m the A. The good/boss energy is contagious, A few of my main spots for partying would have to be Allure, Eleven 45, The Ivory & more. As far as food wise I love love love brunch!!! It’s my favorite, I recommend the Atlanta breakfast club, the rum pum brunch, & breakfast at Barney’s.

I also really enjoyed O.L.G, lickety split, slutty vegan, & the goodz.

& it’s SO many others. I’d be here all week trying to list them all.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out Wx$ – The Agency. For helping give me the push I needed to release my debut single. & I would also like to shoutout my cousins Lasay DaBrat & Marky Williams for there continued support. They have spent so many late nights in the studio with me, they always support & uplift me. I don’t know what I would do without them.
