We had the good fortune of connecting with Mikaili Culver and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mikaili, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve been a makeup artist for over six years, and my passion for beauty and creativity has only grown stronger. Working at mall kiosks, I’ve had the opportunity to meet hundreds of people, each with their own stories and challenges. But once they sit in my chair, it’s my job to ensure their inner beauty shines on the outside. Makeup isn’t just about products—it’s about confidence, self-expression, and transformation. I love the way a well-executed look can make someone feel empowered, and that’s what drives me to keep perfecting my craft.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Over the past six years, my journey in makeup artistry has been one of passion, perseverance, and continuous evolution. I began my career working at mall kiosks, where I had the privilege of meeting hundreds of people. Each person brought a unique story, and my mission quickly became clear: to ensure their inner beauty shines through with every brushstroke.

What sets me apart is my deep commitment to personal connection and transformation. Every session is more than just applying makeup—it’s about empowering my clients, building their confidence, and helping them see themselves in a new light. My inspiration came from watching talented makeup artists on YouTube and Instagram. Their creative freedom not only fueled my own ambitions but also taught me that there’s no single path to success in this industry.

I owe much of my success to the unwavering support of my mother, who has always been my rock, giving me that extra push when I needed it most. I also remain deeply grateful to God for blessing me with this talent and the opportunity to touch lives through my art.

The path wasn’t always easy. There were challenges, from self-doubt to the competitive nature of the industry. But every obstacle taught me valuable lessons about resilience, continuous learning, and the importance of staying true to my unique vision. These experiences have shaped my brand—a brand that celebrates individuality, creativity, and genuine human connection.

I want the world to know that makeup for me is more than a career; it’s a calling. I am proud of the art I create and the relationships I build, and I’m excited to continue inspiring others to embrace their inner beauty through transformation and creativity.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d start by taking her out for brunch—after all, in Atlanta, that’s the perfect way to kick off the day. From there, we’d explore one of the many unique activities the city has to offer. Whether it’s ceramic, makeup, perfume-making, or pasta classes, or even attending an open mic or poetry slam, there’s always something fun to do. During the week, we’d likely be on TikTok, discovering new restaurants and lounges, because Atlanta’s dining scene is so vibrant that you never get tired of exploring it. On a gorgeous day, we might even enjoy a picnic in the park to reconnect with nature. I’m a laid-back person who also loves a good adventure, whether that means a relaxed day out or an exciting night on the town exploring underground clubs and the local nightlife. Whatever we choose, A time will be had!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a heartfelt shout-out to my mother, whose unwavering support and extra push have always been there when I needed it most. I’m deeply grateful to God for blessing me with this gift, which has allowed me to connect with so many incredible people. I also want to thank the makeup artists I followed on YouTube and Instagram—their creative freedom truly inspired me and helped pave my own path.
