Meet Michelle Stribling

We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Stribling and we’ve shared our conversation below.
What should our readers know about your business?
Top Shelf & Co. started from something I saw again and again as a Realtor. Families were going through huge life changes like downsizing, losing loved ones, or moving out of homes filled with memories, and they didn’t know where to start. I wanted to make that process easier, more organized, and filled with compassion. That’s how Top Shelf & Co. Estate Sales began.
What makes us different is how personal we are. We don’t just come in, price items, and run a sale. We get to know the families, the stories behind their things, and the emotions that come with letting go. Our goal is to treat every home as if it were our own and to help people move forward with peace of mind.
Getting here was not easy. Building a business from scratch while balancing real estate and family life came with plenty of late nights, setbacks, and lessons. I learned to trust God’s timing, to lean on my support system, and to stay true to why I started.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that people remember how you make them feel. Whether it’s helping them sell a home or clear out a lifetime of memories, kindness and patience go a long way.
What I want people to know about Top Shelf & Co. is that it’s more than a business. It’s family helping families. We show up with heart, we care deeply, and we do everything we can to make each transition a little easier.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit, we would spend a full day in downtown Monroe. We would shop, thrift, and go antiquing because Monroe truly is the antique capital and there is always something special to find. After that, we would stop at Oak and Vine for wine tasting and catch up over a glass or two. Dinner would definitely be tacos at one of the amazing restaurants downtown, and if we still had energy, we would walk through the square and listen to live music if it was playing.
I love showing people the heart of Walton County. The small businesses, the friendly faces, and the mix of vintage charm and modern style are what make this community so special to me.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family deserves so much credit. They’ve supported me through every wild idea, every long day, and every new direction. My girls are my motivation and my reminder of what really matters. Honestly, my team is my family, which makes it even more meaningful. It’s really a family thing. My parents, my girls, my mother-in-law, and my closest friends all pitch in at our sales. They’re the heart of Top Shelf & Co.
