We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Braxton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michelle, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Over the years I’ve worked hard to grow in so many different ways. Honing in on different areas that I need to grow and develop personally. Networking, developing and maintaining long-term relationships with various brands and companies. Meeting some amazing people and building some great friendships along the way. Lastly, having a great support system on the home front, from family and friends. These are all important factors.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When I look back at when I originally started Supper with Michelle back in 2014 to where it has grown today, I can’t help but to be proud. It’s truly been a great experience, and I still feel like I’ve only just begun. Supper with Michelle has always been a place where I share some of my favorite vegan, vegetarian, and pescetarian recipes. I wanted to show my community that there is so much for to this type of lifestyle than just salads. The possibilities are truly endless when developing recipes.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Quite frankly, I’m a bit of a homebody and don’t get out like I use to when I was younger. On any given day you can find myself and other half sitting on the porch, sipping on a cold beverage, and enjoying nature that surrounds us. I truly enjoy cooking and eating at home and there’s someone always joining us for a meal. But when I do dine out some of my favorite places to eat in the Atlanta area are La Fonda Latina, Upbeet, Desta Ethiopian Kitchen, Madras Mantra, and Grindhouse Killer Burgers (when I crave a good Impossible Burger). As far as things to do, I love springtime in Atlanta, that’s when all the festivals begin, like the Inman Park Festival, National Black Arts Festival, The Dogwood Festival, The Malcolm X Festival, and the Sweet Auburn Music Festival.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to my family and friends. Had it not been for their encouragement, I would have never started my blog Supper With Michelle.
