We had the good fortune of connecting with Michele Peters and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michele, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my own business as an opportunity to build a lasting legacy for my daughters while creating a path to financial freedom. Beyond that, I have always had a heart for helping others achieve their goals. For years, I found myself naturally supporting friends, family, and colleagues—whether they were launching businesses or leading within organizations—by helping them navigate market entry strategies and discover ways to monetize their unique gifts.

After giving birth to my daughter six years ago, I felt an undeniable calling to elevate my purpose. That’s when I decided to create Visions and Dreams Consulting, a space dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs, small business owners, and business leaders. My goal is to help them leverage their brands, expand their revenue opportunities, and embrace a faith-based mindset as they pursue success.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is my ability to genuinely connect with people—not just in business, but in life. I have a natural way of building relationships that go beyond transactions, creating lifelong connections rooted in trust and mutual growth. I believe in the power of vision, strategy, and execution—turning a simple idea into something extraordinary, transforming the impossible into the unbelievable.

I always knew I wanted to be a marketer and strategist. My passion lies in solving the “what-if” scenarios, taking raw concepts, and crafting them into revenue-generating, impactful brands. I built my career on innovation, problem-solving, and a relentless drive to push boundaries.

But the journey hasn’t been easy. As a Black woman in corporate America, I was often expected to conform—to be quieter, less inquisitive, manage my intellect, and even adjust how I presented myself. It was a constant battle between authenticity and assimilation, between proving my worth and staying true to who I am.

I overcame these challenges when I fully embraced my power—when I realized that my gifts will make room for me. God places us in the spaces we are meant to be in, even when the journey feels uncomfortable. I learned to trust the process, trust His timing, and keep moving forward. There will be setbacks, heartbreaks, and moments of doubt, but when you arrive at your destination, you’ll understand why the journey was necessary.

I want the world to know that I am a visionary, a builder, and a fearless advocate for those with big dreams. Through Visions and Dreams Consulting, I help entrepreneurs, small business owners, and business leaders unlock their full potential, monetize their gifts, and create brands that leave a lasting impact. My story is one of resilience, faith, and transformation, and I hope it inspires others to believe in their own limitless possibilities.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My friends all know I love the water, a good nature hike, wine, shopping, seafood eats and entertainment. My week long itninerary would look like:

Day 1: Welcome & Wine by the Water
Morning: Arrive and settle in. Kick off the trip with a scenic hike at Vickery Creek Falls in Roswell, for fun in the sun.
Afternoon: Drive up to Dahlonega’s wine country for a wine-tasting afternoon at Montaluce Winery & Estates—sip wine while overlooking rolling vineyards and stunning mountain views.
Evening: Continue the wine tour with a dinner at Wolf Mountain Vineyards, indulging in their great food and wine flights.

Day 2: Exploring the Outdoors & Local Gems
Morning: Take a day trip to Anna Ruby Falls for a moderate hike to the breathtaking double waterfall.
Afternoon: On the way back, stop at the outlet malls for shopping therapy.
Evening: Enduldge in a little fun and drinks at the puttshack dunwoody.

Day 3: A Culinary & Live Music Experience
Brunch: Indulge in a Southern-style brunch at Coalition Steak & Seafood in Alpharetta—shrimp & grits, crab benedict, or steak and eggs, yes please!
Afternoon: Explore The Beltline and grab a drink at New Realm Brewery or Ponce City Market Rooftop, enjoying stunning views of the Atlanta skyline.
Evening: A live jazz experience at The Velvet Note—one of the best jazz clubs in Atlanta, where intimate vibes meet incredible talent.

Day 4: Shopping, Relaxation & a Luxe Movie Experience
Morning: Stroll through Avalon in Alpharetta, for easy shopping with a laid-back, open-air vibe.
Afternoon: Relax with a spa treatment at Woodhouse Spa.
Evening: Experience dinner and a movie in style at CMX CineBistro in Halcyon, in plush, reclining seats.

Day 5: Culture & Bourbon-Infused Southern Comfort
Morning: Visit The High Museum of Art or the Atlanta aquarium
Afternoon: Take a break and grab lunch at Flatlands Bourbon & Bayou, where Cajun-inspired seafood and whiskey cocktails are a must!
Evening: Head to Escovitchez Caribbean Cuisine for a flavorful seafood dish, ending the night with a signature rum punch and a great DJ.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I credit God for my innate yearning to support others on their journey toward realizing their dreams. My creativity and vision for my clients come from Him, and I am grateful for the purpose He has placed in my heart.

I credit my clients for trusting me with their dreams, their stories, and sometimes even their deepest fears. They give me a canvas to illustrate their vision, and each client brings me immense joy. Their passion and gratitude fuel my own passion, pushing me to do more, be more, and serve more.

I thank my mother for instilling in me the belief that there are no limits. She always reminds me that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” She has been and still is my number one cheerleader—even when I doubt myself, she never does.

To the light of my life, my husband—his unwavering support knows no boundaries. He believes in the power of “Yes”—Yes, you can. Yes, you should. Yes, now is the time. Yes, you are great. His encouragement lifts me up and strengthens my resolve every day.

And lastly, I want to thank my daughters—they don’t even realize it, but their passion for trying new things and their fearless determination to break boundaries inspire me to keep going. They remind me that greatness lies in boldness, in taking leaps of faith, and in embracing every opportunity with confidence.

Each of these people has played a profound role in my journey, and I carry their love, wisdom, and encouragement with me every step of the way.
