Meet Michaela Thompson: Thought Coach & Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Michaela Thompson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michaela, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Establishing the habit of making personal development a daily part of my lifestyle has had the greatest impact. Studying the habits, behaviors, decisions, successes, and failures of successful people that have what I want gives me an edge to cut my learning curve. Also feeding my mind with positivity and things that makes me stronger keeps me distracted from negativity. It is impossible to lose when you are constantly improved on bettering yourself. The second habit I would say helps me succeed is re-evaluating my goals and schedule often. When I see something is not working or producing results I immediately change it. This goes for relationships also. I am loyal to my goals and my end outcome, I am detached from the process. A wise woman once said ” All my dreams and goals are coming into my reality. How they get done is not my business, it’s Gods business.”

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a serial Entrepreneur and always seeking new streams of income and new investment opportunities. My most recent investment was into a floral business called “Petales D Amour”. This company provides luxury preserved roses beautifully presented in different style boxes. I was a customer of this business for a year and when I found out the owner was ready to sell, I jumped on the opportunity. I love what a great decor accent these are to any space and with roses being the national symbol for love yet so short lived, this is a great improvement in the floral market. I am excited about taking an already awesome business and adding my own ideas and flares to become a leader in this market.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Breakfast – Atlanta Breakfast Club Lunch- twisted soul cookhouse & pours Dinner- Chops Lobster Bar We would hang out shopping at Phipps , Drinks at Ponce City Market Spa at St. Regis Nightlife- Red Martini, Oak, or Zari Cafe

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shout out to my husband Chad Thompson. His constant belief, support, encouragement, and example helps me strive for greatness every day. Having the right person by your side is critical and our relationship and partnership has been instrumental in my growth and success. I am forever grateful.
