We had the good fortune of connecting with Mikewitdamac and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mikewitdamac, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued a creative career in music production because I desired to do something I am extremely passionate about full time. I am excited everyday to learn more about music, expand my skill set, and increase my value in the industry. I enjoy developing with musical artist and sharing timeless music with the world.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I just am a music producer however I do not confine myself to the single role of music production. My creative versatility and leader mentality is what sets me apart from others. My growth has come from networking with others in the industry and constantly working on my craft. My current success has come from my executive produced projects, beat tapes, and my passion for helping people achieve their goals. I recently released “Everything’s Different: Vibes” featuring the latest upcoming artist in Alt-R&B. I am currently working on “Everything’s Different: Vol2” along with several other executive produced projects. My journey hasn’t been easy. I have made numerous mistakes. I remind myself mistakes are normal and are essential to growth. I constantly analyze and learn from them. I am most proud of the growth artists and producers have made with my brand’s assistance. My brand helps artist and producers achieve success in the industry by providing products and services needed to effectively release music. We work behind the scenes providing mixing and mastering, marketing, music production, graphic design, music publishing, and creative direction for signed and unsigned artist.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting the area I would definitely catch either an Atlanta Hawks or Falcons game. For good eats, we would have to hit up The Varsity or get a 10 piece wing combo from American Deli. Of course we have to hit the studio for the vibes. Currently my favorite being Third Eye Collective. I’m a huge fan of bowling, so we will probably stop by the new Bowlero at Atlantic Station.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shout out too the late music producer Narquise. He is someone who inspired me to take music production seriously. I always admired his skillset along with his work ethic. I consider Narquise one of the most authentic people I know. He was always willing to help the next man be great. I reminisce on the times he was here with us cooking up, dream chasing, and inspiring everyone around him to be better. I want everyone to know who Narquise is and respect him as one of the greatest producers. Rest in peace my friend Narquise
