We had the good fortune of connecting with Micah Finney and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Micah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
There are 3 mains reasons that motivated the thought process behind starting my own business.
1. Freedom – I have always admired the freedom behind being an entrepreneur, and having your own business. Freedom to create experiences for different clients through bartending. Freedom from having another person in control of my time, money, and mindset. Freedom to know that I am always available to my family when needed.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Lady Freepour Mobile Bartending Service is a full service, licensed, and insured mobile bartending service.
We are creative, professional, knowledgeable, and the icing to the cake to any event. The events can be big, small, private, open to the public, Or cooperate and my team and I can handle it.
I got where I am by staying down with my passion! Bartending, and giving excellent customer service. Planning events are already a very hard task alone. I take pride in knowing that when it comes to planning an event, once hired my clients do have to worry about “the bar” which is typically a very important of any event. We handle the shopping, the set up, the creative aspect. We can work close with client or handle everything on our own up until the day of the event.
I take pride in knowing that my clients are good hands when they book with my company, and I will always go over and beyond to ensure enjoy the bar experience when booking with us.
I learn lesson every event I have because each event is so different. Three things that stick with every event is to make sure I have clear understanding of what the client wants, and needs. I have learned to always leave enough time for error during every event meaning showing up a hour before event is only setting up yourself for failure be there early and be ready for whatever. Last but not least, great customer goes along way rather it’s me, or one of my trained bartenders behind the bar my clients receive the upmost customer service from my team and I.
I just want future clients to know and understand that we work hard behind the scenes to ensure that my clients enjoy their special occasion, have a good time, and indulge in some good drinks
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take my friend to a spot hosting karaoke with good food and good drinks.
We would definitely jump into some float therapy off of Moreland! (Better than a massage)
May take them to shoot the hooch. And go tubing down the Chattahoochee ( a must if you never have)
Def take them a Sunday funday brunch in Atlanta ( I hear we have the best around)
I would find some dope pop-up, or some type of festival going on in the city where we could visit some dope vendors coming from all over the city.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
1st and foremost shout out to God for the idea itself, for the courage jump off the porch, and the faith to keep going!
My husband for supporting me, encouraging, and helping me with my business.
My family, and anyone who has helped with event physically, or even by just keeping the kids while working.
Last but not least all my clients… new, old and future! Without you all… there would be no me!
