We had the good fortune of connecting with Miani Rivers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Miani, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to create something fun and exciting healthcare workers could wear to add personality to their work gear!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I currently work in Oncology (cancer) coming from an OB-GYN background I never imagined myself working in any other department however, I believe everything happens for a reason because I’ve learned so much over this past year! would say the 2 most interesting things I’ve learned is that certain cancers can be treated by medical leaches and HSV, mind blowing! I am challenged everyday at my job wether that’s fast critical thinking, working under pressure or my boss who pushes me to be greater everyday and always throws me in for an opportunity to learn something new. Over this past year I can Oncology has definitely grown on me so much that I plan to further my career within the field to see where it can take me over the next couple years. I encourage everyone to step outside their comfort zone and try something new! You never know where new things can take you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
1)OMG! If you spend a weekend with me were definitely going to have a great time! First, We have to grab brunch! What’s a fun weekend if that’s not included? We’re gonna hit up brunch at Provision DC! The mimosas will get the job done!

2) Secondly! We may head down to the monument grab some scooters and take a tour around the city to sight see!

3) Were gonna head back home or to the Telly wherever were staying get dressed for a fun night, take pics call up the girls and get ready to head out for a night of fun!

4) Were gonna head to urban roast DC for some drinks, then call up the Lyft and head out!

5) I think its only right if we end the night at one of my favorite fun night time clubs, Mayflower DC!

I would love to shoutout my amazing family, friends,co-workers and buyers who constantly support me, rather that’s reposting my brand on their stories, drawing out pin ideas or purchasing! You all are much appreciated!
