Meet Mia Amey | Podcast Host

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mia Amey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mia, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve always been the type of person that never meets a stranger. I feel like I own the rooms that I walk into. When I speak people listen, so I’ve always wanted to do something that consisted of talking, helping people, encouraging people and voicing my opinion.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I love being a podcaster. For years it’s been a dream of mine. I feel like my podcast is different because I refuse to have this man vs. woman conversations. I handpick all of my guest, who are regular everyday people with a beautiful story and a great personality. On my podcast we laugh, we cry, we speak from the heart, we talk about mental health, and as the host I try to create the safest safest place with that best energy and vibes. I am extremely excited about my growth and how my show is being heard in different countries. Nothing comes over night. I’m still growing and learning. Everyday I making new goals and trying to perfect my craft. I’ve learned that everyone is going to agree with how I feel or what I have to say but it is my truth and I am sticking to it. I want the world to know that I am authentically me. I pour my heart into my podcast. I want people to feel loved and feel good and motivated once they finish an episode.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I was born and raised in a small town 45 minutes south of Atlanta. Atlanta has always been my go to place. It’s so full of life and there’s so much to do. I would take my friend to a few of my favorite restaurants for brunch such as Breakfast at Barneys, the Hive ATL and Sea Salt. We would go to the Trap Museum. It’s always nice and they change the artwork often. We could hangout at TopGolf, Main Event and Ponce City Market to have a little bit of fun. Honestly just riding through the city at night, nice 90s RnB playing with a nice conversation going is always a vibe to me.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like dedicate a shoutout to my family. My parents and my two siblings. No matter what I’ve tried to do they have always supported me 100%. My brother has literally invested time and money into my company and I am forever grateful. My cousins I love you all. Thank you for believing in me and my crazy ideas. I would also like to send a big thank you to the citizens of Meriwether County. It’s such a small community but the support is big and I’m so thankful.
