We had the good fortune of connecting with Melissa Littleton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Melissa, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am from Queens NY. But, for some reason I felt like I was in a box. I was never the one to explore things and take risks. I was pretty much a home body. I mean, I knew that I was talented and good at a lot of things, but that’s where it stopped for me. Maybe, because I never thought that my work was GOOD ENOUGH. However, after growing up, I decided to fight through the thoughts of comparison and not feeling good enough to just be who I am as an artist. I consider myself to be a God inspired artist which is one who creates by inspiration of Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit gives me ideas and I do my best to simply execute the internal vision. Thus the business motto “Creations Through Worship” 💪😏

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a painter and jewelry maker. I paint a lot of inspirational art and I crochet accessories. I mentioned a little about my art earlier. I consider myself a God Inspired artist. Meaning Holy Spirit inspires me with ideas that I execute though worshipping GOD Almighty. What sets me apart from others is the simple fact that I can’t be anyone else but myself. I am most proud of the steps I take to accepting what I have to offer and then being confident enough to appreciate the amazing gifts and talents of many others that do art as well. I am where I am today by just taking risks and sharing my work on social media platforms. It’s not always easy and me it’s ALAWAYS a battle because I have to make the choice not to compare. I constantly have to remind myself of what GOD said about me and that I am here to inspire others and bring Him glory. I want people to know that I am a Christian and I serve the Lord. My Brand LLLeanora LLC represents Him as well.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
To be honest, I’d probably fail at answering this because I am such a home body. So, let’s see! I would probably want to go to Jamaica, Paris, Italy or Africa 🤷🏾‍♀️. And we’d eat and do what’s recommended. I’d definitely fine a roller shaking rink at either of those places too. I mean, I don’t have much to say because I don’t know.😏

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shout out to my husband!!! He is a 24/7 mentor. He speaks life when I am not feeling my best or I am not most confident about things. I really hit big marrying him. Then, to my family who’s always supporting me. This family includes my godsister Shanté for this acknowledgment. I love you all
