We had the good fortune of connecting with Meghan Cronin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Meghan, why did you pursue a creative career?
A creative career never felt like a decision I had to make but rather something I knew I had to pursue. I deeply appreciate the power of storytelling through visual media and feel extremely grateful that I get to immerse myself in creativity through my imagery daily.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I was fortunate to grow up near a photography museum. I started volunteering at this museum when I was in high school and it opened my eyes to the photography world. The museum exposed me to so many different types of artists, portfolio reviews, classes, and like-minded creatives. The museum and the people who run the museum mean so much to me because that is where my love for photography began. From there I received a scholarship to pursue photography in college and a Bachelor’s degree in Film & Television Production from Boston University. Since then, I have been very blessed to have had the opportunity to shoot New York Fashion Week as a fashion photographer for seven seasons. I am extremely passionate about fashion, film and documentary photography. I am very grateful to have been an assistant on a Marvel Studios film, a National Geographic series, and an Apple TV movie, which allowed me to marry my love for photo and film. I am honored to now work as a full-time humanitarian photographer in Georgia. I have many goals I want to reach one day and I am just beginning my career in photography, storytelling and creativity. I am beyond excited for what the future holds. To anyone already on their photo journey or wants to start photography, I would say, do not give up, never compare yourself to others and to just have fun with it!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite spots in Atlanta is the BeltLine. There are always so many fun things going on there as you walk through it. It is a great way to explore Atlanta by foot, to people watch, and to photograph.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shout-out my friends and family. I would not be a photographer without their endless love and support. If you are reading this thank you for always putting up with my crazy ideas and being open to modeling, recreating the entire living room into a set with me or helping me pick my favorite photos to share.
