Hi Mary, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was driven by a combination of factors. Firstly, I have always been passionate about helping others succeed, and this passion fueled my desire to support businesses in achieving their goals. Additionally, my background and expertise in healthcare management further motivated me to establish a business that specifically catered to this industry.

Furthermore, my personal life played a significant role in my decision. I have a strong desire to be present in my family’s life and have the flexibility to create my own schedule. By starting my own business, I knew I could have more control over my time and achieve a better work-life balance.

The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic also played a crucial role in my decision. With the world shifting to remote work and virtual interactions, it opened up new possibilities for businesses to embrace virtual solutions. This change in mindset allowed more business owners to understand the benefits of the virtual management and administrative services I was offering.

Overall, the combination of my passion for helping others succeed, my expertise in healthcare management, my desire for work-life balance, and the increased acceptance of virtual work due to Covid-19 were the key driving factors behind starting my own business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

My business, MJ Virtual Solutions, offers management, administrative, and consulting services to small business owners. I also specialize in assisting therapist who are looking to open their private practice and will need assistance on the administrative side of things. My business is unique because it is driven not only by my passion for success but also by my sincere desire to partner with my clients and help them achieve their goals and dreams. I find true happiness in helping others succeed, and this sets me apart from others in the industry.

Getting to where I am today in my business has not been easy. Like any entrepreneurial journey, I have faced numerous challenges along the way. However, what has made the difference is my willingness to continue, stay consistent, and be diligent in my pursuit of success. I have learned that setbacks and obstacles are inevitable, but it is how we overcome them that defines our success. I have embraced these challenges as opportunities for growth and have used them to refine my skills and strategies.

I want the world to know that no matter how your life starts, it is about how you finish. I believe in taking every opportunity available to help you accomplish your goals. Every experience, whether positive or negative, has something to teach us, and nothing is ever wasted. I have learned valuable lessons along the way and have used these lessons to shape my brand and story.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, I’m sort or a homebody! But I do like to get out every now and then. We would definitely go to one my favorite restaurants called Juicy Crab. I also am a huge fan of Hibachi grill. Also, we may visit Kennesaw mountain and if they enjoyed that, we may take a trip to Chattanooga, TN which is not far from here.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to give credit and honor to my husband, who deserves a significant amount of recognition in my story. He has played a major role in my pursuit of starting and running my own business, and his support has been invaluable.

My husband has been there for me every step of the way, providing unwavering support and encouragement. He believes in my abilities and dreams, pushing me to reach my full potential. He has been my ultimate teammate, helping me navigate the challenges and celebrating the successes.

Not only does my husband support me in my business endeavors, but he also plays a crucial role in our household. His contributions allow me to focus on my business while we partner daily responsibilities of running a home. This support has been instrumental in my success over the years.

The unity and purpose we share in our marriage have been essential. We understand the importance of working together as a team, supporting each other’s goals and dreams. This unity in our relationship has created a strong foundation that allows me to pursue my business with confidence!
