We had the good fortune of connecting with Martell Beall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Martell, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
How can I create work to not only influence those around me to tap in they individuality, but how can I help inspire those in my position creatively to be more innovative.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The story element behind my work speaks volumes for relatability and individuality. It was not easy to get where I’m at because I’m actually just now finding my aesthetic visually I feel. All this what learned through my personal growth and embracing that. Seeing my inspirations and things I’ve always wanted to feel and show, so I started creating that, I want the world to know that I’m a creative just like anyone else, and we all have a voice, make that voice impactful not only for your audience but for yourself.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I have a couple best friends, but I would if I was with my homie Summer, I would definitely take her to Criminal Records, and Wax N’ Facts to get some dope music and a some urban life around us. We would definitely hit the Original Pancake House one day, but we’ll hit up some black owned restaurants for sure, The High Museum and the art district is pretty dope, hang out at the park or in the city. Drinks would probably be anywhere as long as they have a Long Island Iced Tea.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly many, I’m lucky to have such a dope and supportive group of best friends including my twin. Being creative can become unmotivating but every time I’m not producing enough or am producing they are there to support!
