Meet Marsha Rowe | Owner/Designer/Artisan

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marsha Rowe and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marsha, every day, we hear about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
While my husband was stationed in Texas with the military and on a tour in Korea, I was home with our two young boys. One morning, as I was brushing my teeth, I distinctly heard the name “Heavenly Beads.” I had no idea what it meant at the time. Although I always loved fashion, I had never been interested in making jewelry. In fact, I have a degree in Political Science and was considering law school. Jewelry design was nowhere on my radar.
To my surprise, God had other plans, and I’m so glad He did. After hearing the business name, I began researching jewelry design and decided to give it a try. Over the course of a year, I learned a lot through trial and error and discovered that I loved designing and being creative. Soon after, I launched Heavenly Beads & More, and it has been an incredible journey ever since!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets Heavenly Beads & More apart is our unique fusion of timeless elegance inspired by the modern vintage era, the divine beauty of nature, the free flow of creative art, and the innovative designs of architecture. Each piece we create reflects this intriguing blend of natural and manmade materials, capturing the beauty of both worlds.
One of our proudest moments was being contracted to design a gift for the renowned American novelist and Pulitzer Prize winner, Alice Walker. It was an incredible honor and a testament to our craftsmanship.
I accredit my professional journey to the guidance of God and the unwavering support of my husband and parents. The road was not easy, but perseverance, hard work, and a steadfast focus on the rewarding end results kept me motivated.
Throughout this journey, I’ve learned that creativity is an endless, exhilarating adventure. By cultivating a culture that embraces and encourages creativity and innovation, my business consistently produces products that capture the imagination of our customers. Embracing the journey and letting creativity guide me has been key to our success.
Heavenly Beads & More is an online jewelry and home décor boutique specializing in one-of-a-kind soulful art for both the body and home. We believe that your accessories and home décor should be more than just adornments; they should be an extension of your individuality, tell a story, evoke emotion, and make a statement.
Each piece is crafted with love and care, using the finest materials and signature techniques. Whether it’s an accessory or a home décor item, every design begins as a simple thought and evolves into a timeless artistic treasure, destined to be cherished for years to come.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Augusta has so many fantastic spots that I love to frequent, and I always enjoy sharing them with visiting family and friends. Here’s what our week-long adventure might look like:
Day 1: Coffee and Art
We’d start the day at one of my favorite coffee spots: Ubora, Inner Bean Cafe, Bodega Ultima, or Rooted Coffee House. Each of these places has a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed morning. After coffee, we’d visit some of the local galleries like Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art, Morris Museum of Art, Westobou, or 4P Studios to enjoy the amazing local art and maybe even chat with an artist.
Day 2: Lunch and Leisurely Strolls
For lunch, we’d choose from Sole, The Southern Salad, Mirin, or The Frog & The Hen, supporting our wonderful local restaurants. Afterward, we’d take a leisurely stroll along the Riverwalk, Memorial Gardens Park, or Evans Town Center Park, soaking in the beautiful scenery.
Day 3: Dinner and A Show
For dinner, we’d head to The Solfood Kitchen, Finch & Fifth, Frog Hollow Tavern, or Rae’s Coastal Cafe. After dinner, we’d catch a show at one of Augusta’s historical theaters, either The Imperial or The Miller, for a delightful evening of entertainment.
Day 4: Chocolate and More
No trip would be complete without visiting La Bonbonniere for handmade chocolate and meeting the delightful Belgian chocolatier, Ms. Bebette. It’s a sweet treat and a unique experience not to be missed.
Day 5-7: Exploring and Relaxing
We’d spend the remaining days exploring more local attractions, trying different restaurants, and simply relaxing, enjoying the local culture and hospitality that Augusta has to offer.
Augusta’s charm lies in its welcoming atmosphere, vibrant arts scene, and fantastic local eateries. Whether we’re sipping coffee, enjoying art, strolling through parks, indulging in delicious meals, catching live music, or exploring hidden gems around the city, there’s always something exciting and interesting to do here.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a heartfelt shoutout to God, my husband, and my amazing parents. My Mom and Dad have been incredible influences in my life, instilling deep Christian values in me from a young age. The values of honor, integrity, and compassion are the essence of who I am today. I owe so much to them for raising me with such a strong moral foundation, and I love them both dearly!
