Meet Marion Webb | Model Scout, model agent -I believe in the power of positivity!

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marion Webb and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marion, why did you pursue a creative career?
I started in the modeling industry at the age of 13! I modeled into my young 20’s and then became a wife and a mom of 3. I started my own business as a model and talent agent when I saw some of the youth at my daughters school that were suffering with low self esteem and seemed outcast. I thought if I could just speak to them and encourage them somehow….I started a little modeling school for fun and it evolved into so much more! Our doors were open to everyone to take a fun class and I always spoke words of encouragement and empowerment to find your joy and follow your heart! I’m so passionate about our youth today! Years later, my job evolved into working with the global modeling agency, Select Model Management, and I am so grateful. Working with people, especially young people is so incredible. It can be tough sometimes as well, but getting to encourage them and help them understand the meaning of hard work, life skills and following their dreams is extraordinary! I work a very unique job and I understand that privledge. I will continue to speak words of encouragement to anyone that is willing to listen. Everyone cannot be a model, but you can be your best self! Seek out the things in your life that bring you happiness and learn how to make that your job or better yet, bring that happiness into your job or someone elses life. We need more kindness, more encouragement, more ways to help ourselves and each other. We get one life…..make it a positive one!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Model Scout/Model Agent-I love what I do. I put a ton of hard work into what I do because I love it. It has not always been easy. I believe in one foot in front of the other and when one door closes, another will open somewhere!

The thing that’s tough about this industry is who to trust. Sometimes people want “stardom” so badly, they will make rash decisions to sign with an agency or event that may not be legitimate and I really hate to see people be takent advantage of. Saftey is my number one concern. I will gladly take time to explain things about the industry to people so they are not taken advantage of. I have started this lately on my TikTok (Marionmodelscout) People can ask me questions on there or check out the tips I post!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite things to do are be with my family ANYWHERE! We especially love the beach! I’ve been fortunate enough to travel and see a lot of this world. At this point in my life, I love a good beach, fun places to eat outside when possible and downtime with my fam! We have some great places in Atlanta to visit to! I love the beltline and the many great restaurants we have! We are fortunate to live in such an eclectic city!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank my wonderful mom and dad for always encouraging me! I thank my precious husband and incredible children for their love and sacrifices when I had to travel or work longer….they are my everything! I also want to thank the models that believed in me to help them on their journey. Thank you to my friends in the industry that have always helped me and given me great advise! We don’t get where we are by ourselves!
