Hi Marcy, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I thought starting a business was as easy as ABC. Everyone always said just do it, which I still believe in just do it but have in mind that starting a business needs Alot of sacrifices and consistency. I also thought when I will start it was gonna go viral over night which that should be every new business owner mindset because the Bible say what you think is who you are but it definitely didn’t go that way. it didn’t go viral overnight but over time with prayers and hard-work everything started falling in place .

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Marcy Boutique is a black and christian owned boutique. I started Marcy Boutique 2 years ago. the aim of my boutique is to make fashion for all backgrounds and ethnicity. We make modest outfits because we believe less is more, you don’t have to show all your body parts to feel sexy but you can be covered and still be sexy. We make clothes for all body sizes and shapes and we believe fashion can say a lot about who you are.

we are proud that we haven’t followed what everyone considers to be sexy. exposing your body parts and almost naked looking in the name of feeling sexy.

we are super proud of starting our plus size collections, we have gotten a lot of good reviews about that which makes us super proud and excited.

it definitely wasn’t easy in the beginning as a new business that no one knows about, but as we continued pushing even when we were not receiving any sales we were still working day and night and didn’t give up then over time we started receiving consistent sales as we were consistent with our posting and creating Contents

what I have learn is prayers, handwork and consistency is all that you need.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the chart house restaurant Franchises. the scenery is very beautiful by a waterfront and calm. their foods has not disappointed yet. they have one in Annapolis md and va and I love both. a week long trip you can never go wrong with a time bowling with friends and laughing while eating and drinking. and finally going to church for a good time fellowshipping with brethren
