We had the good fortune of connecting with Mansell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mansell, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
A thing that we all really center on, both as individuals and as a family, is congruence within one’s self. We all tend to have a lot of voices in our heads that aren’t ours brought on by ego and social conditioning, so finding the one that actually belongs to you means that even failure in that place is a success and where true progress resides.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Mansell is comprised of childhood best friends Grayson Arias, Trent Bilodeau and Holden Fincher. We self-produce music, visual artwork and clothing. We are putting out a shirt in collaboration with Loo Gray and screen printed by Atlanta based company Baron Press. Proceeds for the shirt will go to Buy Black ATL and For Our Sibs. A finished EP of songs and Video are also underway.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Really depends on the friend, and also… way too many food spots come to mind. We’re still going down our own list. If it was their first time in Atlanta though, maybe: Little Tart in Grant Park for a breakfast sandwich & coffee with a walk to Oakland, Victory for lunch, hit Little 5 and Piedmont for the sake of principal hangs/shopping, then Tiny Lou’s for dinner and drinks?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Loo Gray is an artist and best friend of ours who we frequently collaborate with on the majority of our visual artwork including our album covers and shirt designs. His vision and ethics are ones that are both inspiring and synergetic to our own.
