We had the good fortune of connecting with Manilyn Graham LPC, CPCS, CAMS, CSTAS and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maniyn, how do you define success?
Success for me has many different meanings. Success is having the ability to provide generational opportunities for my family as well as being able to provide opportunities for others. Success is also being able to make a living doing what you love as well as giving back to others. In my opinion, success is truly measured by what a person’s life contributes to society. These acts do not have to be on a front and center stage, some of the greatest acts of kindness are never broadcasted.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Having been in the Mental Health field for over 17yrs, I took the leap into entrepreneurship in 2016 with my first business Evolving Notions LLC. Evolving Notions offers mental health services which includes court mandated services, mental health evaluations, substance abuse classes, shoplifting classes, individual therapy and group therapy services and many more. I took my passion for helping others and my desire to be self employed and turned it into a business. I am an advocate for mental health and a voice for those who need assistance in finding their own voice and purpose. Purple Labels LLC is an affordable Hip Hop and Fashion Jewelry business which was established in March 2020. During the midst of the pandemic I was inspired to create a business to encompass one of the things I love which is everything that blings. I am truly a girly girl and I was moved to share my love of jewelry and sparkly things with others while providing affordable alternatives to the high end jewelry most celebrities’ wear.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In Columbus, Ga one of our main tourist attractions is the Chattahoochee River. Surrounding the river there are quite a view great attractions, art exhibits, concerts, food, dining, bars, outdoor recreation etc. all along our uptown area primarily along historical Broadway. I would take visitors uptown to explore a taste of the city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate this shout out to a few life long friends whom have supported me and uplifted me along the way. I feel so blessed to have good people in my life. My daughter has also been especially influential as she has inspired me since her birth to become the best version of myself I could possibly be, so that I could show her that she could achieve any dream she set out to accomplish.
