We had the good fortune of connecting with Mané Bailey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mané, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Especially online, we see entrepreneurs talking about this glorified vision of entrepreneurship. It is easy to make your own schedule, work whenever you want, and have family time.

The downside is that we actually work more than 9-5 on our businesses. Our mind is constantly focused on our business.

Yes, you have the freedom to do many things, but there will be times where you have to compromise on things that are important for your life, to do things for your business.

What should our readers know about your business?
Business wise, I am most proud about having the most supportive people in my life. They supported me everytime I made a decision about changing something, or pivoting into something different. It wasn’t easy, and it never is. It’s not rainbows and unicorns all of the time.

The challenges that I have overcome were all because of the people around me and the experience that I brought from years and years of being in the business industry.

I established myself as a multifaceted professional and have supported clients of various sizes across a multitude of industries in Europe, the Middle East, and North America. My clients range from solopreneurs and service agencies to restaurants and hotels to e-commerce stores and big international corporations.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have many favorite spots in the city! One of my most favorite spots would have to be Ponce City Market. I’m a huge foodie and the variety of food that they have in the market is great!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are a lot of people who deserve credit. The first would be my mom. MB&Co was born as a tribute to my mom acknowledging how strong she was raising two kids on her own, I decided to launch my business to help women that needed a little push and support in their lives.

They say behind every successful man there is a woman. I say behind any success story there is a team. When I was making important decisions or had to work late nights or when I doubted myself HE always stood by my side and gave me the strength to push. I am so grateful for my whole family pulling together and helping me while I was (and still am) navigating the uncharted territory of being a mom, a wife, and a serial entrepreneur.

Truth be told I would not be celebrating hundreds of creatives and entrepreneurs served and a 7 figure milestone if it wasn’t for my team. I couldn’t have done this alone. I’m so proud to work with them and learn from them every day.
