We had the good fortune of connecting with Magen Grays and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Magen, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
I would say that. Most think it is glamorous, but it’s not. It’s long hours and sometimes not as full-flings as you would like. It takes time to learn to love our craft. and with years of experience, you learn that you can make it better for yourself and others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a premier Makeup Artist, Male Groomer & Hairstylist located now in Atlanta, I have 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, I am the go-to artist for all things entertainment. As an expert, stylist I am dedicated to providing you with the highest quality of services.

My work in television, movies, music, and artistry education has solidified my standing with extraordinary talents such as Beyonce, Andy Cohen, Ciara, French Montana, Anupam Kher, Alex Bornstein, and Nancy O’Dell to name a few. Her expertise and work ethic have made Ms. Grays a highly sought-after artist for FOX Broadcasting Company, Microsoft Xbox, Lifetime Movie Network, BET Networks, and many others!

I credit my many successes to the constant pursuit of education, mastery of new and inventive techniques, and sharing my experiences with others.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
All my friends and family know I don’t go out too often. My love language is cooking for my friends. Most likely would through big feats together and we would play games and watch movies. I would also take them to a 90’s R&B event if possible.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
If I had a magic pen to shout everyone I could remember who has helped me that would be great but there are so many that can even write them all down. If I am 100% honest I would have to say being a Christian has truly helped me. I know where and who I am in Christ. Also, my grandparents and mother have always been by my side through everything.
