Meet Maddie + Chandra | Fitness Interrupted Owners & Postpartum Fitness Trainers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Maddie + Chandra and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Maddie + Chandra, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
We’re based just outside of Atlanta—in Marietta and Powder Springs. Our roots are very much grounded in community, family, and a love for movement that’s grown stronger through our personal journeys into motherhood.
Maddie has been passionate about fitness and nutrition for over six years and is Russian Kettlebell Certified with a postnatal certification.Chandra’s love for strength training began even before motherhood, and she now holds a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification.
After having our babies, we were both struck by how few accessible, supportive resources existed for moms who wanted to return to exercise in a way that felt safe, empowering, and sustainable. Our own experiences navigating postpartum recovery—often with kids running circles around us mid-workout—sparked countless conversations with other moms who were searching for the same support.
Those conversations turned into a calling.
We came together to create functional strength training programs tailored specifically for women in every stage of their postpartum journey. Our most popular program, the 10 Minute Fitness Challenge, is all about helping postpartum moms build strength and create habits around movement and nutrition—without needing hours in the gym or total silence to do it.
Our upbringing and life experiences have shaped us into women who believe deeply in the power of community, the importance of strength training—especially for women as they age—and the idea that moms deserve to feel strong, confident, and at home in their bodies again.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business was born out of real-life experience—postpartum bodies, messy living rooms, babies in tow, and a genuine desire to feel strong and whole again. We’re two moms, best friends, personal trainers, and women who’ve felt the frustration of wanting to return to movement but not knowing where to start—or feeling like the fitness world didn’t have a space for us anymore.
What sets us apart is our commitment to meeting moms exactly where they are—physically, emotionally, and logistically. We create functional strength training programs for every stage of the postpartum journey, with a special focus on helping women rebuild from the inside out. Our most popular program, the 10 Minute Fitness Challenge, helps newly postpartum moms ease back into movement, build sustainable habits, and feel confident in their bodies—all in just ten minutes a day.
What we’re most proud of is how deeply personal our programs are. We’ve lived this. We’ve worked out with babies crawling all over us. We’ve navigated recovery, identity shifts, and the mental load of motherhood. And we’ve done it side by side with other mamas who are craving connection, strength, and support.
Getting here wasn’t easy. We built this brand during nap times, late nights, and in-between school runs. We didn’t have a big budget or a business blueprint—we had a shared vision, passion, and the determination to create something that mattered. There were plenty of challenges, especially in trying to grow while raising small kids, but what kept us going was the feedback from women telling us, “This is exactly what I needed.”
We’ve learned to lean into progress over perfection, to embrace flexibility, and to trust that even small, consistent actions (hello, 10-minute workouts!) can lead to big results.
If there’s one thing we want the world to know, it’s that moms don’t need to “bounce back”—they need to be supported forward. Our brand is here to offer that support in a way that feels strong, safe, and empowering. We believe movement is medicine, and when moms are moving well and feeling strong, it ripples into every part of their lives—and their families’.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If our best friend came into town, we’d want to give them the perfect mix of movement, food, connection, and rest—the kind of week that fills your cup in all the right ways. Here’s how we’d spend it:
Day 1 – Sunday Reset & Community Time
We’d kick off the week with church in the morning, followed by dinner at Marietta Market—there’s something for everyone, and it’s such a fun, casual spot to unwind. We’d end the evening relaxing and catching up with friends.
Day 2 – Movement & Brunch Vibes
We’d start strong with a solid gym session, then head out for a well-earned brunch at either Reveille Café or Basecamp—both are local staples with the kind of cozy atmosphere and good food that make Mondays feel like a treat.
Day 3 – Thrift Finds & Matcha Moments
After cooking breakfast at home, we’d fit in a workout and then swing by Tuesday’s Coffee Shop for a matcha (our current obsession). From there, we’d go treasure hunting at Uptown Cheapskate—because who doesn’t love a good thrift find?
Day 4 – Hike, Pizza & Ice Cream
We’d keep the morning slow with breakfast and then head out for a hike or workout to move our bodies. Midday meet-up would be at Gianni and Mac’s Ristorante, and then we’d top it off with Jeni’s Ice Cream in the Marietta Square—because that combo is always a win.
Day 5 – Work & Axe Throwing Night Out
The morning would start with a workout and a slower pace to catch up on work or personal to-dos. Then it’s out for an evening of axe throwing (yes, seriously—it’s the best stress relief!) and dinner at Good Kitchen + Market for fresh, feel-good food.
Day 6 – Groceries, Splashpads & Pizza Nights
We’d knock out grocery shopping for the week, then spend the rest of the day relaxing. In the afternoon, we’d head to The Battery Atlanta so the kids can cool off at the splash pad while we chill. Dinner would be pizza at Antico—so casual and delicious.
Day 7 – Rest, Croissants & Meal Prep
We’d intentionally keep the day restful—grab coffee and the most amazing croissant from Sangster’s Coffee in downtown Powder Springs while the kids play nearby. The rest of the day would be spent meal prepping for the week ahead and soaking in those last few slow moments.
This is the kind of week that reflects what we value—intentional movement, quality time, good food, and space to breathe. Our area has so much to offer, whether you’re a mama, a creative, or just someone looking to slow down and savor the good stuff.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely—we have to give a huge shoutout to the community of mamas who have shown up, shared their stories, and trusted us with their postpartum journeys. They’re the heart behind everything we’ve built. Every afternoon workout with a baby by our side, every honest conversation about body image, strength, and self-worth—it all inspired us to create something that met moms where they are, not where the fitness industry expects them to be.
We also want to recognize our own families and support systems. Being mothers ourselves, we know how important it is to have people in your corner cheering you on—and we’re so grateful for the loved ones who encouraged us to dream big, even during the sleep-deprived, toddler-chaotic, figuring-it-out seasons.
And finally, we’d give credit to the women in the health and fitness space who have been advocating for safe, evidence-based postpartum recovery long before it was trending. Their work laid the foundation for us to do what we do today, and we’re proud to carry that mission forward in a way that feels both functional and deeply personal.
