Meet Madaí ChaKell | R&B Pop Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Madaí ChaKell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Madaí, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Confidence in myself and a great support system. Believing that my hard work will all be worth it even in times when I don’t see results immediately and also having my friends and family cheering me on with all the moves I make is definitely encouraging.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an R&B Pop Singer who just debuted her first single I Can’t Love You on all platforms. I also am a tiktoker and recently reached 10 million views organically impersonating different musical genres. Although I am a singer, people find a lot of humor in my content which is something I love to do! I can honestly say aside from all the professional experiences I’ve had, my drive and dedication is how I managed to get this far. It wasn’t always easy because I expected to blow up after finishing The Lion King and when that didn’t happen it was discouraging. But I now understand why things didn’t happen the way I wanted to the them to and I feel more aligned than I ever have because I truly have my own identity now. Life honestly was my biggest teacher and over time I just learned from my mistakes. The biggest lesson I learned along the way was that everything has its own process and time is necessary for all great things. I want the world to know that I never stopped believing in what I saw for myself and I’m just a theater kid with big dreams that I have turned into my reality.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Now that I moved from NYC to ATL I would be on an adventure with them too! I’d first take them to Waffle House because there is nothing like that up north and the food is sooooo good to me. Then I’d probably take them to the mall just to feel a “lil bougie” and take some cute pics lol. Then we’d probably go out to eat with good music because my friends and I just need good vibes and we’re the party! I would end the night at Cascades because I’ve never been and I love skating.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shoutout to D.R.E.A.M. Studios Inc. for my artist development at the age of 5 all the way up to them giving me the opportunity to audition for Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway where I landed my first professional role as Young Nala. I’d like to shoutout The Lion King Gazelle Tour for giving me the experience of a lifetime at the age of 9! I also want to shoutout my high school, Professional Performing Arts in NYC where I was a Drama major which is the home of Alicia Keys, Britney Spears, and Josh Peck, Last but not least my amazing mother who made all my dreams possible <3
