We had the good fortune of connecting with Lyndon Winchester and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lyndon, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always been excited about helping individuals reach their goals so helping someone become healthy seemed second nature to me. I’m intrigued by accelerating health so my business evolved on that basis. Hands On Personal is exactly that. We created and implemented a way of being Hands On with a personal touch. We like to keep our clients engaged and excited about reaching their personal health goals.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our approach to health and wellness has been to educate our clients. We feel that the better you educate your client the better the impact. Being healthy is a lifestyle change this can be a dietary change, a change in your work out routines, or it can simply be a matter of desiring a new you.
I feel as if our organization got to where it is today because of the quality of work that we provide. Each therapist has a desire to change lives and to make their clients feel well overall. We go above and beyond to understand what our clients true goals are when it comes to their health.
The path in any business is not easy but our clients have been top notch. We’ve overcome challenges by adapting. During covid our industry halted due to personal contact but we were able to adjust by having our therapists become available for online training and sessions. This also allowed for us to accelerate our clientele by taking on additional case loads.
Over the years I’ve learned that regardless of how social media has impacted businesses customer service and communication with your clients has to be priority # 1.
We are excited to be celebrating 24 years. With that comes a long list of clients that we have helped reach their goals. We are glad to still be doing what we love. We look forward to many additional years and clients to come.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to say that my community was extremely engaged in helping out with my business success. Spelman College, V-103, Magic Man, Morris Brown College, Clark Atlanta University, NAACP, Alpha Phi Alpha, Phi Beta Sigma, Steps Events, Cigna, Marta Corporation, Terrance Davidson of TD Designz, Kennesaw State University, GA State University, Georgia Perimeter College, Whos Who Black Atlanta. The list is extensive but each of these individuals or firms gave my business a chance to succeed and grow and for that I will forever be grateful.
