We had the good fortune of connecting with Lynda Cameron Price and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lynda, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
The single most important decision that I made that contributed to my success would be to continuously seek certification in specific areas and investing in my education. Staying on top of the latest knowledge and advances in my field as well as seeking continuing education opportunities helps me to be a better clinician to the client’s that I serve.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am the CEO and Lead Therapist of a counseling firm located in Birmingham, AL called, Healing Transformations LLC. We provide individual, family and couples counseling to individuals in the states of Alabama, Georgia and telehealth in Florida. I feel that what sets us apart from others is our deep compassion and love for the individuals that we serve as we provide person centered therapy. I was able to get to where I am today in business by the grace of God and by having the drive and talent to maintain resilience in the face of adversity. There were definitely difficult times especially during the pandemic however, we have been able to overcome those trying times by not giving up and continuing to move forward and learning different ways to navigate any issues that arise. I have learned that during difficult times we learn how to lean on each other for support and that we are not afraid to lend the help that we seek. I would like to the world to know that once you heal you then transform and that is the staple of my brand at Healing Transformations LLC.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The city of Birmingham is a hidden gem with robust attractions and a lively nightlife. I would recommend El Barrio for a great place to eat downtown Birmingham and for cocktails I would recommend a few roof top restaurants such as the Elyton Hotel, Roots and Revelry and the Uptown District. For brunch I would recommend Ruby Sunshine in Homewood. There is also Top Golf and Dave and Buster’s in Hoover if you are in the mood for great fun and food. Encore Theater and gallery is also a great entertainment venue.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shout out to the many individuals that I encountered before I was licensed as a therapist who told me that the information that I provided to them changed them and their perspective on life. The many patrons who encouraged me to continue to work in this field even during times when I became discouraged. They let me know that they saw me working hard and that they appreciated every word of life that I had spoken into them and it helped them to shape their future despite their past.
