Meet Lydia Curry | Loco Volumes Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lydia Curry and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lydia, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Loco Volumes, would be PROMOTING! Lots of promotion & content. Keeping my audience engaged and excited about my product keeps me motivated, which allows me to be successful in my brand. There are days where I would get no sales and I wouldn’t want to promote but I think about where I want to be in the next 6 months to a year. I set big goals for myself and my business.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Having a business doesn’t just come with buying product and selling it. Being an entrepreneur consists of taking pictures, making videos, marketing, networking, creating your own content, flyers, etc. Being Artistic, these things became very easy to me. My hardest challenge was creating content on Canva, video editor, and many other platforms, but I was so motivated and had so many ideas in my head I had to show the world what I wanted to create…So everyday I would just make content and design my own flyers. The lesson I learned while gaining this skill was if you have ideas don’t be afraid to express them in your BRAND. Nobody can do it how you can. Go for it, even if it means taking risks!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Wow! This was just during Thanksgiving! She stayed a week! I got to meet my niece for the first time! We visited Sugar Factory in Buckhead, Where the lady next to us paid our $197.00 bill! Way to welcome her to Georgia; Candytopia, we got to shop, & before she left we got matching bestfriend tattoos. A lot of weird hours for businesses for the holidays but we had the best time!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Definitely Shout out to our God! Everything happens for a reason! I always wanted to be an entrepreneur but was never motivated enough. When the pandemic hit, at that point I knew it was go time! My mom gave me an idea and gave me advice on sacrificing and purchasing inventory so I will be fully stocked, and always have space to put up extra. I did it and I can say that was the best motivation I could have gotten to brand Loco Volumes.
