We had the good fortune of connecting with Louis Buralda and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Louis Buralda, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
Creating a foundation and continuing to build off of stable ground is key. It is vital that my son is taken care of in a world he did not ASK to be apart of. Right now I’m in the process of creating children’s books catered to his age group. This will impact him fundamentally and financially in the long run. I love you Phoenix. Just thought I should add that in there.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My two loves are music and illustration. I began to write music at a young age (8-9 to be exact). I was too shy to read my work out loud so I would leave my poetry or raps laying around so someone could stumble upon them. Later I would watch their reaction. I always had positive feed back. As I continued to write I develop my bars and metaphors eventually evolving into a lyricist. Later I realized I’m big on flow and heavy on word play.
Fast forward to now I have an album and 1 EP currently available on all platforms (Along with many singles). My music began to take off along with my art. My artistic time lapse videos would go viral on social media along with my music playing in the background. This method has increased my streams drastically.
With both my art and musically circulating the media, I now provide an experience. My music and art are compatible. I’ve also created a label called Four Pages and my art brand Buraldaworks LLC.
My symbol is an envelope which signifies sincerity, love, envelop (protect), rarity, high skill in penmanship, and being business oriented. That’s what I want the world to know my brand for.
Achieving this level of success was not easy. I was roughly 10 years in the game before I received any major recognition. The most important thing is to keep going no matter the emotion, and to recognize YOURSELF and what you posses. You matter.. and you have something to offer this world.
Sincerely,
Buralda
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m really a homebody but if I HAD TO, I’d take them to The Battery in Cobb County. The restaurants are amazing and they have places that offer a great experience. If you want to catch a quick vibe and shop I’d go to Atlantic Station. Last but not least I’d take them to Peter Street for a little culture.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I actually want to shout out my son. He is the full to my fire. I am confident he will grow up and achieve nothing less than greatness!
