We had the good fortune of connecting with LolBrielle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LolBrielle, what do you attribute your success to?
Ummmm….Determination, honestly. I’ve done everything I’ve said I would do and I’m still not finished. I genuinely believe that nothing is out of my reach and that I can have whatever I want….all I gotta do is put the work in.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a comedienne, from East Cleveland, OH. I always suck at saying what makes me stand out lol but I love happiness and making people laugh so it doesn’t feel like work all the time. Being in comedy is not easy by any stretch of the imagination. We work strictly off the crowd and comedy crowds can be tough. It’s also a male dominated field, which poses its own challenges but I’ve been blessed to be able to create genuine connections and opportunities from my work ethic. Prayer and manifestation have been my biggest comforts throughout all this, especially once the pandemic hit. It had essentially put my dreams on hold, as it did for a lot of creatives. It’s been almost 4 years now since I started performing and I’m getting better each time. The biggest lesson this has all taught me is diligence. Giving up is easy. Staying the course is what’s difficult. I’ve learned that rejection happens to everyone and if somebody won’t open a door for you, go through the damn window. I want the world to know that if they don’t know me, they will soon. I’ve been in two movies so far, so I’m looking forward to landing more acting roles and cultivating that talent. I also dabble in rapping. I’m nice too lol

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Cleveland, I love the lowkey spots. We’d definitely visit the rock hall, African American museum, and maybe catch a Cavs game. downtown Cleveland has really good food. A lot of black owned restaurants in Cleveland. Zanzibar if you want soul food. I love Yonder’s brunch, love the seafood at LaRoux’s. Hola, Blue Habanero and Bakersfield for tacos Ima hood baby so I stick to the east side of Cleveland. Karaoke at Mitchell’s. It’s a ton to do.

If we’re kicking it, I like bars as opposed to clubs. I’m not super familiar with the nightlife because 30 hit and makes me want to lay down somewhere lol but definitely Mitchell’s for the mature vibe or The Bistro on Taylor St.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my beautiful daughters, Ju and Pooh. Mommy is going to make you proud, I promise. Long live Pistol Pete, Nick Nack and Lizzie B, because I know they’re in heaven calling shots for me 🕊
