We had the good fortune of connecting with Logan Angelvin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Logan, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I worked for a long time as an emloyee and I wished to be my own boss. I considered many different business concepts that would allow me to be more indepdendent, before I decided to launching a rosé brand. As I was raised in south of France, I was exposed to winemaking, especially to rosé. Not any rosé, but that the world’s finest rosé making region: Cotes de Provence. Thanks to my wife’s familly both in New York and Atlanta, I had observed that rosé in general was not widely known or represented in the US. Even in the import sector of Provence I found few choices and often poor quality on the international level.. However, I knew that the industry was booming and I could see that there was a market. The brand my mother’s maiden name, Angelvin, was an obvious choice.

What should our readers know about your business?
Maison Angelvin is an upper level Provence rose that is produced in small quantities allowing for high quality. I have surounded myself with skilled people and build trusting reltionships so I am able to deiver my product and depend on a small team of collaborators. We source provence’s finest vats, ever year at the ideal time, to elaborate the perfect blend. The fact that we are small, work with the best juices and take our time, has allow us to grow organically as a company. The greatest challenge has been to build slowly and make sure we have perfected our product. There is always the desire to grow quickly and increase profits, but we are not greedy and want to focus on building our brands reputation on quality.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The first person I would like to shoutout to is my friend Derek Gordon a young Gerogian who starting his own wine and beer company, Botella Distribution. I met him in France a few years ago as he was sourcing the region for wines. Thanks to him, my wine is now sold in Atlanta. He is the only importer of my wine in the US, so it would not be possible without him. Also my wife has been the silent whisperer behind me from the very begining. She pretty much looks after me.
