We had the good fortune of connecting with Lizeth Rea-Soto and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lizeth, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
2020, post Covid, was a year that took everyone by the storm and many of us lost a lot that year but many of us also found ourselves at the same time. We had a lot of time to self-reflect, have many overdue one on one talks with self and while we could look at things through the lens of loss and devastation, I like to look at this situation like the Rise of the Phoenix. I almost lost myself, felt like everything was falling apart and I felt helpless. I could have been negative however the little bit of faith I still had didn’t let me, now my love for R & B mixed with my faith and resilience is what helped me come up with SoFull.
You can take SoFull like “soulfull” because YOU got SOUL, after all this time you still stand, you got SOUL!
Or you can take it as, What are you SoFull of? Gratitude? Hate? Love? Jealously? Life? Sh*t?

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
SoFull, is more than just a brand that supplies teas, aromatherapy candles & scar butter, it’s also a Movement for all Latina & Black women. SoFull is a platform that encourages, teaches & supports women to connect to their higher self, I have a team of financial advisors, Reiki healers & just leaders overall who are here for the elevation of sisterhood. SoFull started off as just a brainstorm in 2019 & turned it into a reality in 2022, & no it wasn’t easy, I experienced a lot of anxiety because I wanted everything to be perfect mixed with self-doubt & fear of failure. It did cause some delays for me, I basically had to get out of my head, I was self-sabotaging my dream. I realize I’m above that now, I held my first SoFull Experience, July 22nd & it was amazing! I got asked to hold another one so stay tuned for the next SoFull Experience!! I just hide behind my candles & teas for now haha!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have three years living in Atlanta, originally from Va (DMV). So far, I’ve only experienced good vibes at Ponce City Markey, every time I go, I hit up Bar Vegan, for some saxophone Mondays & tasty vegan food. Putt Shack in Midtown is fun & there are other restaurants right by it if you don’t want to eat there. As far as a chill, artsy & poetic vibe, I’ll say Peterstreet Station is a great place & when I’m going for a lit vibe I hit up VVS Restaurant & Bar off, Old National Hwy. Helen waterpark is fun for outdoor activities & so is trailing alongside the Chattahoochee River.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are two beautiful souls I’d love to shoutout. First is My Mother, My Kween, she always spoke on unity, always backed me up on my ideas and efforts, she always saw my potential even when I couldn’t & engrained this saying in my head “Where there’s a will there’s a way.”
Now everything I do is in memory of my mom, Rest in Power Mary Soto!

Last but not least is, Baba Alejaibra.
Baba Alejaibra, kick started my spiritual journey back in 2019 right when everything started to slowly crumble for me. The way he enlightened me you would’ve thought we spent the whole day healing together when really it was only a shared 1hour session with other people.
