We had the good fortune of connecting with Livisha Renee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Livisha, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I have learned that taking a risk in life versus if you’re is your career any kind of us in life take the risk because you never know what can happen take a risk can always change your life taking a risk for me if I didn’t take this risk to want to be an actress and you know step out of my shell of being on the camera screen how would I know how far this could take me I still don’t know how far I can take me but I took a risk to step out on faith and I’m still taking a rest till this day. Taking risks of scary but long as you walk out on faith and keep your vision follow your path everything will be fine
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
So I feel like when it comes to my journey of where I’m at today that sets me apart , is the fact that I’ve been multitalented and what I mean by that is I’ve been in radio , I’ve been a photographer, I’ve been in cinematography, I’ve been on film sets pretty much all around the board of media , new media and all things of production. Now with my journey where I’ve been the past year or two even throughout my whole journey through the years now I’m an actress and I only focus on being an actress so I have experience with behind the scenes in front of the scenes. And now to my side job even being a performing arts teacher so I’m able to show the kids what I learned and you know share my talent with other children. I now only want to focus on acting so my story is definitely unique from the average actor/actress I would say teaching children to be just all-around diverse and what I do.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was to visit Baltimore where would I take and it was a weeklong trip so for one I don’t think we would stay in Baltimore for a week lol that’s for sure I love Baltimore but there’s so much more to explore in the DMV but if we were to start in Baltimore I would probably take her to a few of my favorite restaurants like the elk room, Sunset Cove depending on the weather I would take her to RA Sushi because I love sushi I would also take them to this meditation floating therapy session where it’s 2000 pounds of Epsom salt and the water and you float on your back and you meditate for an hour also take them to my favorite salt cave which is also a meditation place. Of course we will go to the gym to work out cause that’s a part of my routine and then we would probably go to DC, stay at a hotel, eat at a few restaurants, go to a few lounges, brunch spots the park at 14 (which is my fav because of the vibes ). Hit a pool or beach , plan a picnic , go hiking at Kilgore falls .
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shout out to my parents for always supporting me in my dreams always stand behind me making sure I’m always on task and never giving up on me my family and friends have been my number one support system and sometimes I don’t know where I would be without them especially my mom she’s always constantly telling me to stay on top and staying on task so without her guidance I don’t know what I would be and I am grateful for it.
