Lindsay Rayna , always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
Got it! Here’s the revised version:

Hi, I’m Lindsay Rayna Oliveira, the founder of Rayna Beauty, where we specialize in providing makeup and hair styling services for all occasions. I’m also a proud mom of two and a beauty entrepreneur based in Atlanta, GA. My journey in the beauty industry started over a decade ago as a creative which eventually led me to pursue makeup artistry and brand development full-time.

What sets me apart is my dedication to inclusivity and creating beauty solutions that work for all skin tones and types. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working on everything from weddings to television sets, and most recently, I’ve stepped into a leadership role as the Department Head of Makeup for a scripted TV series. Each step of my journey has strengthened my artistry and deepened my passion for this work.

Right now, I’m focused on building something truly innovative that I can’t wait to share. I’m always looking for ways to contribute to the industry in meaningful ways, and this next chapter will be no exception.

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
Since our last conversation, life has transformed in some of the most beautiful ways! I became a mom to two amazing little ones, which has completely shifted my perspective and given me even more drive and purpose in everything I do. I’m also preparing for my wedding in just a few weeks! This season of life has been filled with so much love and growth, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

On the professional side, I’ve stepped into some incredible opportunities. One of the highlights has been serving as Department Head of Makeup for a scripted TV series. Leading a team and being part of the creative process has been such a rewarding experience and has helped me grow both personally and professionally.

These days, I’m focused on expanding my brand and working on exciting new projects that I know will make a meaningful impact in the beauty industry. While I can’t share everything just yet, I’m pouring my heart into building something I truly believe in.

Life is constantly evolving, and while it’s a balancing act, I’m embracing every step of the journey with excitement for what’s ahead!

Life is often about tough choices – can you talk to us about your thought process, strategy or philosophy when it comes to making difficult choices or tradeoffs.
Here’s a response based on your journey:

Life has presented me with some tough choices and challenges, but I’ve learned to approach them with faith, resilience, and a deep focus on the bigger picture. Losing my dad suddenly to ALS when I was just 26 completely shifted my perspective on how precious and unpredictable life is. That loss forced me to evaluate what truly matters and reminded me to live fully and pursue my purpose.

Dropping out of college was another turning point for me. At the time, it felt like a failure, but in hindsight, it was the beginning of me carving my own path. I struggled with depression and self-worth for a long time after that, but those struggles shaped my strength and determination to build something meaningful—not just for me but for my family.

Becoming the first business owner in my family was a leap of faith. As the responsible sibling, I’ve always felt a strong sense of duty to set an example and show my children what’s possible. Every decision I make is rooted in creating a legacy for them and showing them the value of perseverance and dreaming big.

My philosophy is simple: make choices that align with your purpose and don’t let fear stop you. Even the hardest decisions can lead to the most beautiful outcomes.
