Meet Linda Anderson | Black Nail Tech

We had the good fortune of connecting with Linda Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Linda, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Outside of working for myself , the single most important decision I made that contributed to my success would have to be staying strong in my Faith. Faith is knowing and believing without seeing ! It’s was times that it didn’t look like entrepreneurship was the path for me but my Faith told me different. Without Faith I would have listened to the negative people and stopped right before my breakthrough!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Although I’m completely self taught through my nail journey , I think that taking time to truly obtain book knowledge as if I went to nail school sets me apart from most self taught nail techs. I’ve always had my own style and it’s what I’m most known for , setting trends and being completely myself so it shows thoroughly within the nail art that I am able to produce . I’m a kinesthetic learner ! I can look at visuals and recreate it exactly or with my own twist on it , I love that about myself! Along this great journey I’ve learned to always keep an open mind , never stop practicing & continue to further my nail knowledge through book work !

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When friends and families are in town I love to show them the AUC area because it contains some of the best HBCU in America as well as it has many black owned eateries that are staples in the Atlanta history ! So many to name I would hate to miss any!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Throughout this journey outside of God , my daughters are my biggest support and I want to recognize both of them for staying Faithful with me thru this journey . Being my live model when I needed to practice , walking around with nails that were not so nice looking to say the least and still they continued to cheer me on ! That is true love and support and I could not thank them enough!
