We had the good fortune of connecting with Levi Krevinghaus and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Levi, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
It’s something that sounds super obvious, but it’s so important. Never do bad business. Whether it’s as an actor or producer or whatever position we are filling for someone else and the creation of their vision, it’s very important to me to find a way to not just meet expectations but go far beyond it. Professionally and personally. A great attitude goes a long way on set. In this industry, every job you’re currently working can very well be an interview for the next one you have yet to book.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an actor. I am a producer. I am many things, as I have worn quite a few hats in the world of entertainment and the production of it. Both in live theatre and in tv and film. I really like to know how things work, what has to happen, or how something is made. I feel like it makes me better at the other jobs I have linked to the creation of make believe. That has ultimately led me to the skill sets that I have acquired and how I stay busy in an ever changing and challenging industry. As an actor, I usually find myself in unconventional or charactery roles. I tend to be cast as the villain or the red herring. Often times the crazy or outrageous one. I love the deep and dark characters though. I really enjoy portraying characters with heavy back stories or characters who are facing huge adversity. There is something I had the pleasure of being a part of coming out next year that I think is my most wild to date. I’m super stoked about the release of that one. Keep up with that list on my imdb page. There you will also see that I have done fighting and violence choreography for a few murder reenactment shows. I have produced quite a few trailers, pilots and pitch material for individuals through our company Krevinghaus Entertainment. We also do casting for select projects. I have done sound mixing for short films and campaigns. I have most recently directed a music video for a super talented actor and stand up artist, John Dixon. I think I just really like affecting people. In the best way I can, always.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
You always need to see what live music and live theatre is available when you visit us! There’s everything from improv events to live concerts and traveling Broadway shows at the Fox theatre. Museums and live exhibits are going to be on the list too. FOOD….Yes to all the food! I am personally obsessed with the Korean chicken philly at Freds Meats & Breads inside Krog street market and I know I’m not the only one! Everything on the menu is to die for at “Come -n- Get it” and you always need to just take a stroll through little five points during the day and EAV at night. Always fun to be had! Week days, Its always a great time playing music bingo at Truck & Tap. The special events that pop up are fun too. For example, grilled cheese festival…what?!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family is why I am who I am. Family is the most important thing to me. My wife, Casey Krevinghaus, inspires me everyday to be the best person I can possibly be in everything I do. Growing up, my sister was always amazing at everything she did. I wanted to be the same, just awesome at everything. So that’s where I first developed a drive that doesn’t settle. My dad was a man of great character and respect. My dad is my hero. He’s my rock and I like to think I follow in his footsteps. My mom is where I caught the creative bug from first. My high school drama teacher, Miss Koger, opened my eyes to the possibility of affecting people in the most profound way, while at the same time, working on myself. Growing more emotionally and spiritually connected to myself, the person I want to be, and becoming the performer I am today. Everything I am, is because of them.
