We had the good fortune of connecting with Letia Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Letia, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
My balance has changed tremendously overtime mainly due to the fact that I have twin baby girls Devynn and Dallas. They require my attention 1000% of the time lol. So now I have to set times for everything that I do to make sure that I can still tend to them properly. I think about balance as a necessity. Even if I did not have children balance is still needed for every day task. I have to balance being a mom, running a business, maintaining friendships/relationships and taking care of my self.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a self taught graphic designer. My love for graphics and computers in general started at a very young age. I used to watch my grandma design programs, obituaries, flyers and more and knew one day I would want to do the same. In March of 2020 I gave birth to my son and he passed away shortly after. This caused me to be in the house for 3+ months on maternity leave and I had a lot of time on my hands. I began playing around in different programs that are used for graphic designing which then led to me promoting my work on Facebook and since then I have helped 40+ brands with various graphic needs. Social media plays a huge part in where I am today. I am forever thankful for everyone who shares my work daily as it has given me so many opportunities that I would have never imagined that I would have. It has NOT been easy lol. Some weeks you can have a plethora clients and the next you might have none and I have learned whether I have none or 100 I am still going to keep going and never give up!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my children, parents and boyfriend. They all push me to be greater in different ways. When I first started doing graphic designing my mom and dad backed me with no questions asked. They encourage me daily to not give up and to keep pushing even if I think I am not where I need to be. My boyfriend supports me 1000%. I can always go to him for honest feedback on the projects that I do because I know he will tell me if its trash or not lol. He promotes my business daily and I appreciate him for that. And my kids just keep me going in general. Everyday that I wake up they motivate me to be better than what I was the day before.
