We had the good fortune of connecting with Lesley Steinberg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lesley, what principle do you value most?
Integrity. Transparency. Good or bad, I’m honest to a fault with my clients, contractors and vendors. Likewise, I expect the same in return. If I make a mistake, I own will it. There is nothing worse than a overpromising when something will be ready. Give it to me straight, so I can let my client know what the expectation is. We are a team.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m an Interior Designer in Atlanta, GA, I started my business in 2012.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Wow… that’s a hard question! There are so many great things about Atlanta. Just a few of my favorites (randomly!)…Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Oakland Cemetery, Piedmont Park, pretty much ANY restaurant along Buford Hwy (especially Banh Mi at Lee’s) Dekalb Farmers Market, Ebenezer Baptist Church, Atlanta History Center, The Carter Center, Wax n Facts, Fantasyland Records, Star Bar for local live music. The Beltline for people watching, Euclid Yacht Club (don’t worry, there are zero yachts to be found there), Dr Bombay’s Underwater Tea Party. So many great art galleries. Some of my favorites are IDEA on Miami Circle, TEW Galleries, and Muse & Co. Antiquing on Miami Circle, or Antiques & Beyond on Cheshire Bridge, or Scott’s Antique Market the 2nd weekend of each month. For hiking, walking and kayaking, there are so many trails…some favorites are along the Chattahoochee, follow the river!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So many makers and craftsmen come together to make designers look their best. I would be nothing without my drapery workroom, who bring my crazy ideas and drawings to life! Additionally I have a skilled group of talented people I can call on from wallpaper hangers, painters, artists, installers, muralists, and photographers.
